Strictly Come Dancing Live is back
The sparkles and sequins were all there, the glitter ball was back in place, and yet again, the Barclaycard Arena had put the chandeliers up. All this could only mean one thing, Strictly Come Dancing – The Live Show was back. Yesterday saw the press call for the most glamorous show around, with celebrity favourites and professional dancers giving press a sneak preview of what, once again, promises to be a fantastic show. Rita Ora joins the judging panel of The Voice
If ever there was a lady who divides fashion, it is Rita Ora. Just this week the singer, who is joining the judging panel of BBC’s ‘The Voice’ tonight, was the reason for 100’s of complaints over the low cut outfit she wore on The One Show, a programme shown well before the watershed. Now the lady is going to become a staple part of Saturday night as she replaces Kylie Minogue as the female judge on ‘The Voice’. The Liberty London Doc is back!
The wonderful Liberty London documentary is back, and once again it is a total treat for anyone with even a passing interest in department stores, shopping and the history of retail. That iconic, mock Tudor style building is always a place I love to visit when I’m in London, it always has amazing window displays and sells items that range from the iconic Liberty print scarves, to the weird and wonderful. My favourite star of the show (so far) has to be the truly lovely Judy Rose, the warm and funny front of house lady who gives the Liberty reception such a welcoming feel. Strictly Come Dancing is Back!
One of my most treasured television treats twisted, tangoed and shimmied it’s way back onto our screens last night. Strictly Come Dancing is back, and the new series already looks like being an absolute corker. The first episode gave us the serious chemistry of Pasha and the gorgeous Caroline Flack, the swinging sixties appeal of Pixie Lott and lookalike partner Trent Whiddon, and the seriously impressive tango from Eastenders Max Branning, aka actor Jake Wood. We also had Tim Wonnacott who was adorable and hilarious, and could be this year’s John Sargeant. It was a seriously entertaining start to the new series, and with the judges on fine form too,…

Vintage Love for This Old thing
My summer television treat has been ‘This Old Thing – the Vintage Clothes Show’. Presented by Dawn O Porter, ‘This Old thing’ is a delve into the world of vintage fashion and how to shop for it. I love anything shopping related, and this series shows some of the beautiful items that can be found if you have a magpie’s eye. But as much as I have loved the series, I do think it has uncovered some of the major problems of shopping vintage.
