Colour Clashing Style with Clarks Cloudy Skies
Earlier this month I wrote about how I had been given the opportunity to review some shoes from one of my Fave High Street brands, Clarks. In that post I reviewed the gorgeous Ancient Myth shoes in Mint suede. (You can read that review here.) In my second Clarks review I am keeping the bright colours theme with another gorgeous pair of suede shoes, this time it is the Cloudy Skies in Fuchsia Suede.
The Cloudy Skies shoe has a distinct 1940s vintage feel, with a soft square toe and chunky heel. This is most definitely a shoe that suits girlie girls, so utterly feminine is it in design. The ribbon bow is a very pretty touch that makes this a dressy shoe, perfect for special occasions like weddings and a day at the races. But despite all those vintage touches, this shoe is also very modern due to the element of colour clashing. The body of the shoe is a shocking pink shade, with that square heel in a contrasting orange. This makes the shoe a really bold choice that stands out from the crowd.
These shoes look fabulous when teamed with elegant dresses and vintage style tea dresses. I wore mine with a Boden dress and did opt for opaque tights as the weather was still very wintry, but I am looking forward to the day when I can opt for bare legs again. As with other Clarks shoes, these are so very wearable due to the comfort levels – they have cushion soft foam layers that just add to the comfort under the foot arches.
I opted for the pretty bright shade, but the Cloudy Skies also come in black and a fabulous neutral nude patent style, this means this design would also be a great work shoe, offering style and comfort all day long.
