Fashion Focus – Ankle Boots
In my humble opinion, a good pair of ankle boots, especially one with some sort of heel, is the most versatile footwear in your wardrobe, and one you should not be without when putting together any sort of capsule wardrobe. They can be worn as an everyday staple under jeans and trousers, and, if you opt for leather, they will also be all weather proof. Choose a stylish suede pair, with either a kitten or stiletto heel are perfect with a bodycon or shift dress and add an edge to any outfit.
I don’t mind admitting that, when Winter really sets in, I live in ankle boots. Currently my hero pair are from Clarks. They have a square heel, are black leather and are durable and hard wearing. I’m reaching for them every single day as they are the sort of boots that would keep you upright on an ice rink. For evenings or more dressy occasions I am wearing a black suede pair with studs and a more spiky heel – more of a shoe boot style, and find that these are still glamorous enough to wear with a dress. Now is a great time to invest in a new pair of ankle boots as there are some really good sales on, and many boots have got some good savings. You can buy womens boots online here. This is great as we have at least two months of needing boots due to the weather, and most of us still remain faithful through the Spring too. (Unless of course we get a scorcher, in which case the sandals appear – and, of course, by a scorcher I mean firing the barbecue up when it reaches 14degrees…)

I love ankle boots, but I struggle with ones with any kind of heel, even the low chunky ones. So I tend to stick to flat chelsea style ankle boots x
