Style Icon of the Month July – Olivia Palermo

To be honest, with her effortless chic, Olivia Palermo could be the style icon of any month. But in July, Olivia really showed her style credentials as she showcased a whole range of stunning looks. Who else could attend the Giambattista Valli show wearing a Topshop dress, and still outshine everyone else in the room? Olivia did this in July,  and a whole lot more.

I love everything about Olivia’s style. She is always immaculately groomed, never a hair out-of-place for this girl. Her clothes always look effortless, she will wear a simple shirt and maxi skirt for a film premiere and make it look like haute couture. She is never matchy- matchy, sometimes the bag or shoes don’t entirely match the outfit, but the end effect is always perfect. She is a huge fan of the High Street, wearing an array of Topshop and Zara, as well as Mango, who she fronted a campaign for.

I was once in the company of PR extraordinaire Sarah Byworth, who is a good friend of Olivia. She told me that Olivia has a knack of making any outfit look like the most amazing thing you have ever seen, and she does it usually without the help of a stylist. Surely that is the sign of a true style icon?
