Celebrity Get the look – TV Special

Today’s Celebrity ‘get the look’ post is just a little bit different in that it focuses on some of the beautiful stars of the small screen.  From reality TV stars like Lucy Watson, looking fabulous in the publicity shots for the new series of Made in Chelsea, to Towie stars Lucy Mecklenburgh and Danni Park Dempsey showing off great pieces from AX Paris and Jaydah Jewellery, these ladies are showing that you do not need to break the bank in order to look amazing.

We also have some soap star looks from Coronation Street stars Michelle Keegan and Samia Ghadie, and also a fabulous Kzeniya bag carried by rising star Jenna Louise Coleman. Zoe Hardman continues her Reiss obsession in a blue short suit that is one of her best looks yet.  And finally, we have a host of wonderful looks worn by Lisa Riley, all from Anna Scholz. Lisa is absolutely knocking it out of the park stylewise at the moment, and these dresses show why Anna is the designer of choice for plus size celebrities who want to look chic and elegant.

My LPSFW outfit + Win! with Clothing at Tesco.

Last week I was invited to attend London Plus size Fashion Weekend as a guest of Tesco. Of course I said ‘Yes!’ in my loudest voice, and then proceeded to squeal for a good many minutes when they said I would be able to choose an outfit from the Clothing at Tesco site to wear on the day. As a fan of F&F, this was a fantastic opportunity to test drive pieces from the range, although I knew just settling on one outfit wouldn’t be easy.

I knew I wanted to choose a dress, and there were a few that caught the eye, including a fabulous silk feel shirt dress in a vibrant orange shade that I fell in love with. But, in the end, there was only one dress that I could choose. This was the F&F Signature Floral Peplum Dress. This was a dress that clicked so many boxes for me. It had sleeves, it was stretchy, and it was bright and colourful. I loved the digital style floral print that reminded me of a Mary Katrantzou design, and the fact that the peplum wasn’t a full skirted one to add inches, but was a slight, subtle frill on the side of the dress.

I teamed the jacket with a simple navy blazer, that I originally thought was black. It was a perfect match, making this a rather happy accident. This blazer is so versatile, looking as good with jeans as it does over a dress, and yet costs just £16, making it a total bargain. I also added a pair of faux suede shoe boots that looked stylish but were also easy to walk in, a good thing when the nearest station was almost half a mile away.

I absolutely loved my outfit, the dress, in particular, received lots of positive comments and compliments, not the least of which was a compliment from designer and all round girl crush Anna Scholz, who told me she loved my dress and asked where it was from. With the whole outfit costing less than £60 I think this is real proof that you don’t have to spend a fortune to make an impact.
