Friday Fashion – Wallis new ‘W’ collection
The latest drop from the W Collection from Wallis is here, and it is as glamorous and eclectic as ever. Full of eminently wearable pieces that incorparate daytime classics with full on evening glamour, the new collection is stylish, timeless and yet still feels absolutely bang up to date. This season has chosen a stark colour palette of black, white, camel and red. There are flashes of metallics in the form of a silver soaked beaded jacket, a bronze brocade trouser suit that echoes the 1970s ethos of Biba, and a beautiful, boho influenced dress/tunic emblazoned in stars and beading. The Judo coats are just stunning. I love the bright,…

Boohoo Press Day – frills, brocade and a bit of Chanel styling
If you are sitting there thinking that Boohoo is one for the younger crew, think again. I attended the Boohoo Spring/Summer preview a couple of weeks ago and just fell in love with so many things, if my bag had been big enough I would’ve been leaving with quite a few of them. Perhaps giving her support for another gold rush for Team GB, Kate wore a beautiful coat/dress from Day Birger et Mikkelson that she had worn as long ago as 2006, and has recycled almost every year since. But you can’t really blame her for this – it is a stunning piece, the perfect colour for the occasion, and also bang on trend for the next influx of brocade and lace that was so part of the A/W 2012 collections. Kate…

Fashion-mommy takes a trip (part 4) – still in Wales in Heels!
Wales was growing more lovely by the day, and on day 4 the sun came out! So what do you do on a sunny day in Wales? Go to the beach? Find a market? Hubby had a better idea. Lets go to Harlech, we could look around the town and Baba would love the castle. Great! So that’s what we did. Dressing proved more difficult today. What do you wear for a trip to a castle? I kept imagining medieval wimples, flowing dresses with long draping sleeves. A Maid Marion – esque look. Or maybe Alexander McQueen style heavy brocade and embroidery would be great, sort of Anne Boleyn style.…
