Loving the Christmas Markets!
Last weekend I made the most of the mild weather by visiting not one, but two Christmas Markets. Trip one took in the Lincoln Christmas market, set in and around the beautiful surroundings of Lincoln Castle. I try to go to Lincoln each Christmas, loving the chance to drink mulled wine whilst browsing all the stalls. I particularly like the leather and sheepskin stalls which have a great mixture of bargain buys and more luxurious items. Lincoln City is also a great place to shop, with some brilliant vintage stores, charity shops with hidden treasures, and small independents that are perfect when you are looking for something a little bit…

Friday Shopping – A bargain buy special
It’s almost Christmas, and so, true to form, I’m feeling rough. And for once, this has nothing to do with all the festive spirits on offer at numerous events. No this time it is due to a cold and a throat and chest infection I’ve been trying to fight off, unsuccessfully, all this week. And so, today’s post is short on words as my bed is once again calling me, and I am, for the umpteenth time this week, blogging in very warm, but sartorially challenged fluffy pyjamas. But fear not. M&S – Picks from the Press Day and seasonal treats for Christmas
The Marks and Spencer press day has become one of the key events when looking towards a new season on fashion. Held at the beautiful No1 Marylebone, this is always an event not to be missed, one that promises to be full of the designs you will be wearing next season. The Spring/Summer event took place a couple of weeks ago and I was lucky enough to be sent an invitation. The ranges were organised under evocative titles, ‘White Out’ offered crisp, clean, minimal lines in the colour that is always most perfect for accompanying a suntan in Summer. I loved the Charlotte Rampling inspiration of the white trouser suit,…

Swarovski Crystal Jewellery – The perfect Christmas gift idea.
For many ladies this Christmas, there is just one thing that they wish to find in their Christmas stocking. No, I’m not talking about George Clooney or David Gandy, although I’m sure they would be popular choices too, I’m talking about the gift of jewellery. It is always such a treat to be given a little parcel, and to know it contains something beautiful and sparkling that has been especially chosen for us by someone special. And, let’s be honest, when we talk about perfect sparkling bling, can we think of anything better than a gift from Swarovski UK? One of the best places to find an enormous selection of…

Fashion on a budget – 20 party pieces under £20
I read an interesting article this Summer about a woman who had been invited to a great deal of weddings. She had spent a fortune on different outfits, so much in fact that the total bill had run into thousands. The reason for this was the need to look brilliant, but also different at every wedding, especially as some of the same people would be attending each ceremony. I think it can be a little bit like that at Christmas. It is the one time of the year when you want to sparkle and shine, and also the one when the most invites tend to drop onto the mat (or inbox…
