Pippa Middleton nails this season’s berry shades
It was a very busy week for Pippa Middleton last week. On the promotion trail for her Party Planning book, ‘Celebrate’, on one day alone Pippa wore no less than four great looks, my favourite being the great plum dress from Roksanda Illincic. Pippa really nails this season’s berry shades in this dress, with its ladylike shape, great drape style neckline and sophisticated knee-length skirt. Berry shades, plums, purples, maroons and burgundies, are always a great choice for Autumn. Rich and warm, they flatter most hair shades and skintones, and just look great with boots and layers. There are berry shade dresses everywhere this season, in shapes and fabrics that…

Loving Marios Schwab at Debenhams
Debenhams continues to add to its impressive roster of A-List designers with Marios Schwab the latest addition to the Editions range. Marios is a real a-list favourite, Emily Blunt being a key star who loves his designs, and the collection got a major boost this week, when the gorgeous new Bond girl, Naomie Harris, wore a stunning and revealing Marios Schwab design to the Skyfall premiere. Naomie’s dress bares a striking resemblance to the Black Sheer sequinned dress in the Editions collection, albeit with a less revealing undergarment. There are other great dresses in the collection, slinky cocktail style gowns that flatter and fit the body and enhance those curves.…

Betsey Johnson is back – check out her collection for Jones Bootmaker
Betsey Johnson is back and is better than ever. The wonderfully over-the-top fashion original is a favourite with celebrities like Agyness Deyn and Katy Perry, whilst the late, great Amy Winehouse got married in a Betsey Johnson design. Flamboyant, exuberant and fun, Betsey is a real style original who highlights everything that can be great about fashion. And now she has produced a fabulous shoe collection in collaboration with Jones Bootmaker, and it is all so typically Betsey. Here are some of the key picks from an exuberant range. Boden’s 1960s Winter – Love!
This season, it seems like Boden is taking us on a journey to the 1960s, British style. I can’t help but look at the new collection and be transferred to the time of Marianne Faithfull, Georgy Girl, Jean Shrimpton and Julie Christie. This is the 1960s of Kitchen Sink drama’s and gritty realism, tweeds and shift dresses, a time when Mary Quant ruled and every button was huge! Boden has taken a raft of those classic cuts, the simple shift dress, the collared tunic designed to be worn as a sexy mini, and those patent shoes with the just high enough heel to enable you to dance the night away.…

Miss Selfridge evening jackets – a style must have.
If you can’t afford to buy lots of different outfits for going out this season, then it might be worth investing in a statement piece that can turn any outfit into a party outfit. My top investment piece this season has to be the evening jacket. Miss Selfridge currently has a fabulous collection of jackets that can be worn over your little black dress to add glitz and glamour, but can also be worn most stylishly over skinny jeans or simple black trousers and a cami to create lots of different looks for so many different evening occasions, from the cinema to a smart restaurant, and also to any glamorous…
