Boden – Top Ten Dresses for Every Occasion
I am totally besotted by the latest collection of dresses from Boden. Featuring a mouthwatering palette of colour, and a range of styles to suit all tastes and body shapes, Boden are again showing that when you need a dress for an occasion, they are definitely the shopping destination of choice. The 60s styling which seems to becoming Boden’s trade mark is still around, with the Wardour dress having that early 1960s silhouette favourited by Doris Day in those Rock Hudson paired comedies like Pillow Talk and Lover Come Back. The zesty yellow of the lace dress is sheer sixties ‘dollybird’ and has been styled as such, think Brigitte Bardot…

Colour Clashing Style with Clarks Cloudy Skies
Earlier this month I wrote about how I had been given the opportunity to review some shoes from one of my Fave High Street brands, Clarks. In that post I reviewed the gorgeous Ancient Myth shoes in Mint suede. (You can read that review here.) In my second Clarks review I am keeping the bright colours theme with another gorgeous pair of suede shoes, this time it is the Cloudy Skies in Fuchsia Suede. The Cloudy Skies shoe has a distinct 1940s vintage feel, with a soft square toe and chunky heel. This is most definitely a shoe that suits girlie girls, so utterly feminine is it in design. The…

Wallis 1923 Dress Collection – The Little Cream dress
Each season, Wallis dig into their rich archive to come up with the 1923 collection. This is a collection that re-images and re-masters old designs in order to bring something to the fore that has a vintage feel whilst being totally new. This season, the 1923 collection returns with a tribute to the Little Cream Dress. This is a beautiful range of dresses that feature beading and embellishment to create dresses that bow to quite a few different eras. There are Art Deco style curved rainbows that echo The Great Gatsby trend, albeit showing far more leg than even that racy era would allow. The Cream sequin shift dress is…

Colour Pop shoes from Clarks
As all our fashion heroines know, a great way to add colour to your wardrobe is with a pair of colour pop shoes. Even the dullest outfit can be transformed with a totally standout shoe, and it is a great way to inject brights into your wardrobe if you wouldn’t feel confident wearing a red dress, or a neon pink top. From Kate Moss to Beyoncé, stylish ladies everywhere have been adding a splash of colour in the shoe department for a long time. You can colour match, or colour clash, or dress down in black and add a colour splash. (A poet and I really didn’t know it). Clarks…

Orla Kiely stoles back in stock at Uniqlo
It was one of the most sort after collections on the High Street last year, and the great news is that Uniqlo’s fab Orla Kiely scarves are now back in stock…at least they are for now. A massive sell out last time around, the scarves/stoles featured Orla’s unique, vintage style prints but at amazing Uniqlo prices. The Uniqlo/Orla Kiely collaboration is quite simply splendid. The Irish-born designer already has a huge following, with the Duchess of Cambridge and Pippa Middleton amongst her fans, and yet Uniqlo was able to offer the fantastic style and prints at amazing High Street prices. The stoles were amongst the most popular items, proving perfect…
