New Look Press Day
New Look are one of the most popular and consistent of all high street retailers, producing collection after collection of great clothes, and accessories ranges that now, in my opinion, rival anything that the High Street (and some designer collections) have to offer. The recent New Look press day was an eclectic mixture of glorious jewellery, accessories that belied their High Street roots, and a clothing collection that was more dressed down than dressed up, and showed influences that ranged from Debbie Harry and punk, to Vivienne Westwood and pearlie kings and queens. There was much to admire and enjoy. Jewellery The statement necklace has is something that New Look…

Clements Ribeiro Swan – quirky prints and AMAZING ambassadors
The wait is very almost over. The most anticipated plus size fashion collection EVER will hit stores and online on May 16th. Of course I’m talking about the latest collaboration between Evans and the fabulous design duo that is Clements Ribeiro, the collection that has already set Twitter alight and is set to have long queues and online meltdown once it finally goes live. The Maxi dress – showing no signs of disappearing
The maxi dress was a fashion relic from the early hippy-dippy 70s that made a surprising re-appearance a few years ago, mainly off the coat-tails of the Boho revival. No-one really expected it to stick around, it was another Summer trend, a flash in the pan. Here today, gone tomorrow. But we were all proved very wrong. The Maxi dress proved to have a staying power that has made it a style classic. It is now a total staple of your summer wardrobe, perfect for packing in your holiday suitcase, providing you with an item that can switch between covering up your swimming costume apres swim, to providing evening glamour…

Military Stud Detail Dress from Fashion World
You can’t have failed to notice that suddenly online shopping has become extremely exciting if you fit into the realms of what is labelled the ‘plus size’. In what was once a very narrow market (let’s be honest, we were just talking about Evans in general) there are now a great many online ranges that cater for the size 16+ market. And these stores are stocking far more than just the basics and what could be categorised under the smock/tunic/tent range. Fashion World is one such site. I was recently approached to see if I would be interested in reviewing a product from Fashion World and was so happily surprised…

The Legacy of Lilly Pulitzer
The amazing Lilly Pulitzer died yesterday at the age of 81. She was the socialite turned designer who created the tropical and palm print shift dress that became a timeless style classic, one of those items that appears in designer collections and High Street ranges every single season. Lilly created the original dresses by happy accident, she wanted prints that could disguise orange juice and fruit stains, and used a range of fabulous, over the top prints, and beautiful bright colours to create dresses that were fun and yet retained a simple elegance. By the 1960s her star was in ascendance as Jackie Kennedy herself was photographed wearing her designs.…
