Caryn Franklin show wows at Pavilions.
One of the highlights of this weekend’s Style Birmingham Live was the fabulous ‘How to look good’ show hosted by Caryn Franklin in Pavilions. I went along to the preview of Thursday evening and was really impressed by a fashion show that was truly universal, appealing to all ages, shapes and sizes and to all budgets. This was a show that showcased the best Pavilions has to offer in the way of fashion, accessories and beauty. Shock! Horror! Pippa Middleton wears the same dress on two days running!
If you’ve been reading the papers this week, you’d think the biggest fashion faux-pas of all time had been committed. Pippa Middleton wore a fabulous Hobbs NWS Wyldes dress (£143..but don’t bother, it’s already sold out.) when she went shoe shopping on the Kings Road. She was then spotted at Wimbledon the next day, wearing the SAME DRESS. Pippa wore the red linen dress whilst she was shopping for wedges at Russell and Bromley on the Kings Road, buying a tan pair. Enjoy a Vintage feast at Pavillions.
If, like Fashion-Mommy, you are a bit of a vintage magpie, then I have some dates for your diary. On Saturday 25th and Sunday 26th June, vintage is coming to the Pavillions, Birmingham. The fabulous City Centre destination will be hosting a vintage Fair that weekend, playing host to 60 stores that will be selling a whole host of items, from craft to couture, designer finds to real vintage bargains. The event will take place from 9.30am until 6.00pm on the Saturday, and 11.00am until 5.00pm on the Sunday, and entrance is absolutely FREE.
