Reviewed – Army and Navy Reed Shawl Neck Jumper
The Army and Navy brand from Howick, which is currently stocked at House of Fraser, is one with a strong and proud British heritage. First founded in 1871 by Army and Navy Officers, the brand has, over the years, expanded and gone from strength to strength, becoming an international success story and offering clothes that are strong on both style and quality, with that mark of heritage which still seems to resonate in the 21st Century. House of Fraser recently offered my hubby Pete the chance to review a piece from their current menswear ranges that include Label Lab, Criminal and Howick. Pete opted for a jumper from the Army…

Loving House of Fraser Homewares
I took a little trip to Birmingham last week, and ended up in House of Fraser, which I have to say is one of my favourite department stores. I love to linger in the Beauty department, and also have a real love for the Biba clothing section. But I never really spend much time in the home wares section if I’m being really honest. Lulu Guinness celebrates 25 years of gorgeous bags
One of the most iconic of British designers has this year celebrated 25 years of creating beautiful and unique handbags and luggage. Lulu Guinness launched her first range of classic bags in 1989, and now has a realm of celebrity fans, and a string of iconic designs, two of which, the flower basket and the Lips clutch, have a place in the V&A. I have been a huge fan of Lulu Guinness designs for quite a few years, I own three bags, two toiletry bags and a gorgeous cosmetic bag, all of which I absolutely treasure. Lulu’s designs are very Marmite – I posted a Christmas gift of a tote…

BAFTA Style red carpet fashion from House of Fraser
The television Bafta’s are this year teamed with House of Fraser as an official style partner, and in honour of this, I thought that it would be a good idea to show you some of the amazing red carpet styles that the department store currently has on offer. House of Fraser is always a great port of call for occasion dressing, with brands such as Biba, Untold and Ariella all showing that you can create looks suited to Hollywood events with a more modest budget. In addition to the fabulous gowns, which offer colour, beading, a range of silhouettes, and retro and icon influences, House of Fraser are also offering…

Springtime – The perfect time for Home Improvements
As regular readers of the Fashion-Mommy blog know, my son Joe is now 4 years old. And after a couple of years when he seemed hellbent on wrecking every area of the house, he has now calmed down. No more drawing on the walls (well, not that often anyway), no more pouring lunch and dinner all over the floor, and finally, sleeping in his own bed. And that means I think the time has come to make a start on some of the home improvements we had been putting off until Joe was a little older. Starting with turning our master bedroom back into a boudoir and sanctuary. Now, the…
