Jessica Ennis – Queen of the World
Jessica Ennis is on top of the world right now, the Golden girl of sport with a gold medal to prove it. And it seems that sport is not the only area in which Jessica is excelling – showing herself to be no slouch in the style stakes either. Blessed with a glorious figure and a beautiful face, it would be hard for Jessica to look anything less than stunning, but her style choices have met with universal approval. From Victoria Beckham on the Jonathan Ross show, to Alexander McQueen in salmon pink, Jessica has shown her style is ladylike and classic. She chooses knee length skirts, but varies the…

Spartoo bring in the red, white and blue
Nobody could’ve failed to notice that there is a certain sporting event going on at the moment, an event that seems to be sending everyone a little TEAM GB crazy. The only colours to be seen wearing at the moment are red, white and blue – in whatever combination. In honour of that event, in honour of Team GB, and in honour of all the medals that we are still to win, I have selected four very special pairs of shoes from Spartoo that allow you to show a bit of patriotism on your feet. I have chosen the Odenie design by Coleur Pourpre that totally embodies all the elements…

Matalan Christmas in July Press day
I’m a huge fan of Matalan. I always find really great, fashion forward items there without needing to break the bank. So I was really pleased to receive an invite to their Christmas in July press day, being held in the cool surroundings of The Hospital Club, London. It’s hard to know where exactly to start in describing how good this collection is. Basically, it has all your needs for the Christmas party season sorted, whatever your style may be. From the perfect pencil skirt/peplum dress, to beautiful boho grunge styled evening wear in the form of skinnies teamed with floaty capes, there is something for everyone. There are nods…

Kurt Geiger Press Day A/W 12/3 – Pretty in Punk
Last Thursday I attended a whole raft of press previews for Autumn/Winter 2012-13. I started with one of my favourite shoe retailers – Kurt Geiger. Now, people who have known me for a long time know that I have a long-standing love affair with the Kurt Geiger range. I have boxes and boxes of the most amazing Kurt Geiger, KG and Carvela shoes that I would never part with – if Kurt Geiger ever got shown at the Design Museum a la Louboutin, they could call on me! So I was really excited by the press day and the new collections, which was entitled ‘Pretty in Punk’. And I loved…

Nelly.com launch party – Oh what a night!
Late on Tuesday evening the email I’d been waiting for dropped into the Inbox – an invite to the Nelly.com launch party. This was the much-anticipated launch to the exciting online company that is already the toast of Scandinavia, and is now set to conquer the UK. To be held in the luxurious surroundings of Aqua, this was a party not to be missed. And of course, it surpassed all expectations. The whole of Aqua had been the willing victim of a Nelly takeover. There was a nail bar treating guests to glittering manicures, rails of gorgeous dresses from the likes of AX Paris to drool over, and then there…
