    The Return of Mr Selfridge

Sunday night sees the return of the rather delectable Jeremy Piven to our screens as the huge TV hit Mr Selfridge returns for its third series. I’m a huge fan of Harry, and of the series in general, so I have to admit to rather looking forward to its welcome return. The new series will kick off in 1919, with Harry mourning his wife Rose. The real Rose died in 1918, when the First World War had not yet ended, but the series transports the death forward in time. Frances O Connor has left the series, but we have new cast members in the shape of Kara and Hannah Tointon…

Rita Ora joins the judging panel of The Voice

If ever there was a lady who divides fashion, it is Rita Ora. Just this week the singer, who is joining the judging panel of BBC’s ‘The Voice’ tonight, was the reason for 100’s of complaints over the low cut outfit she wore on The One Show, a programme shown well before the watershed. Now the lady is going to become a staple part of Saturday night as she replaces Kylie Minogue as the female judge on ‘The Voice’. It is going to be interesting to see what she wears come the live shows. I’m a bit of a fan of Rita because I thinks she has so much fun…

Bonnie: It was strange and surreal second time around, amazing to feel so much…

    Style Crush – Clemence Poesy

Whatever did we do before the days of digital and satellite television? It is hard to believe that even in my lifetime, there were once just three channels that could be watched through terrestrial TV. And with the lack of choice, it is true to say we watched a whole load of rubbish, as well as the, admittedly, classic television we choose to remember. But these days we have choice, fast broadband allows us to watch great programmes before they hit our screens, and play catch-up on those we have missed, and packages that allow us to join our telephone, tv and broadband mean that we never have to miss must-see…

    Fabulous Fashionista’s – Fabulous Television

There is a definite plus point to the end of summer. The endless amounts of dross that have appeared on your television during those light nights;- the repeats, cheap reality shows (yes Big Brother, I mean you), and the B movies all finally disappear, and we start to get some good quality, well made, and frankly un-missable programmes. This makes Autumn a great time to compare broadband packages to find those with good TV packages like Virgin Media and BT with essentials TV. So far this month I’ve enjoyed the brilliant David Threlfall in ‘What Remains’, uncovering the mysterious death of a lonely girl. I’m currently enthralled by ‘The Guilty’,…
