TV BAFTAS – The best looks
Last night was the TV BAFTAS, which saw the most stylish stars of the small screen walking the red carpet. Anna Friel, Thandie Newton, Suranne Jones and Tess and Claudia were amongst those who turned up to celebrate the most glittering night in the television calendar and were also amongst the best dressed, with Thandie and Anna taking my own personal vote. The designs were surprisingly varied, most award ceremonies this year have seen very similar styles, or a run on one particular colour, but the BAFTAS ranged from very elegant little black dress styles sported by the likes of Jessica Raine, slinky cocktail dresses like the sugar pink Roland…

Strictly Come Dancing is back
Normal television service is resumed tomorrow night. After a summer of pretty shoddy Saturday night television, tomorrow the sequins, the bare toned torsos and the ‘ten from Len’ all return as Strictly Come Dancing returns to the screen. With the likes of Peter Andre, Ainsley Harriot, Kellie Bright and Jeremy Vine in the line-up, it promises to be a vintage year, with the beautiful and the hilarious meshing to make TV Gold. The National television awards are always a feast of fashion, some good and some very, very bad. This year there were actually some really gorgeous looks on the red carpet that oozed style, sophistication and enough full on glamour that would mean they wouldn’t look out of place on a Hollywood red carpet. Christmas Day Crackers featuring Kate Middleton, Girls Aloud and Tess Daly
There were a few stylish moments on Christmas day that I did not want to ignore, despite taking a break over the festive season. The Royal Family, residing at Sandringham, made their annual Christmas morning trip to church and looked suitably warm and cosy, with Zara Philips my pick for most stylish lady. William and Kate spent Christmas day with the Middleton’s, but did make a more low-key appearance, with Kate adding a touch of festive red with her long scarf. Whilst Tulisa and Nicole Scherzinger are having a fashion battle-royale on Saturday nights, there is another beautiful lady who is quietly stealing both their thunder, and their ratings. Tess Daly rarely puts a fashionable foot wrong, always looking the epitome of cool and elegant style. She has an eye for new labels, and has the sort of understated, immaculate look that reminds me of Gwyneth Paltrow and Cate Blanchett.
