Harvey Nichols Birmingham Spring Fashion Show
The Harvey Nichols seasonal fashion shows have always been an unmissable spectacle, but this year the bar was raised in spectacular fashion. Using the industrial space that was once the Old Post Office in Birmingham‘s magnificent Mailbox complex, this show showcased the best of this season’s hot style offerings. In the past the Harvey Nichols show have been impressive, but somewhat restricted to the actual brands stocked in store. But now, with the click and collect service in place, Harvey Nichols Birmingham can now deliver the best of British design, from Mary Katrantzou, Roksanda Ilincic, Roland Mouret and Christopher Kane. All these designers, and so many more, were represented in…

Reviewed – AX Paris Laser Cut PU Scallop Skirt
I must confess, I haven’t worn a leather, or leather look skirt since I was 20. The last one I wore was a black leather pencil skirt that I got from Camden Market, wore a few times, and then retired, thinking I looked like a watered down version of a Midlands Joan Jett – so not a good look. But earlier this month, whilst browsing the AX Paris curve collection choosing a piece to review, I spotted the Laser Cut PU scallop skirt. This was a leather look skirt with a difference. Harvey Nichols Birmingham Launch Face Lace
I am really excited about the newest addition to Harvey Nichols cosmetic department. A stunning, baroque face adornment that seems to have been inspired by the gothic beauty of iconic ladies Daphne Guinness and Lady Gaga, Face Lace is an unusual way to make sure all eyes are on you. Gisele is just one celebrity beauty who has worn a face lace design recently, bringing to mind masked balls of the past. The collection has been created by Make up artist Phyllis Cohen, renowned for the magical make-up effects she has created for the likes of David Bowie and Daphne Guinness in a career that has spanned 20 years. It…
