Victoria Beckham S/S 13 – good, but not great.
The latest collection from Victoria Beckham proved to be a further departure from the Roland Mouret style designs that made her name. Sure, there are some form fitting gowns, but these owe more to the minimalist, lingerie style designs of Calvin Klein than to the hourglass fifties silhouette of Mouret. I have to say I was a little disappointed by this collection on the whole. The form fitting lingerie style dresses look a little dated, and a little cheap, whilst the short a-line skirts and crisp shirts just got me thinking ‘so what’. They are well cut, as you would expect, but they don’t stand out as spectacular. That’s not…

Jessica Ennis – Queen of the World
Jessica Ennis is on top of the world right now, the Golden girl of sport with a gold medal to prove it. And it seems that sport is not the only area in which Jessica is excelling – showing herself to be no slouch in the style stakes either. Blessed with a glorious figure and a beautiful face, it would be hard for Jessica to look anything less than stunning, but her style choices have met with universal approval. From Victoria Beckham on the Jonathan Ross show, to Alexander McQueen in salmon pink, Jessica has shown her style is ladylike and classic. She chooses knee length skirts, but varies the…

Olympic Closing Ceremony – Spice Girls and the Supers
The most amazing two weeks I can remember has now come to an end, and we are left with just wonderful memories. But what memories! And for fashion fans, there was a final, unforgettable treat with the reformed Spice Girls, and the stunning appearance of the British Supermodels dressed in an array of gold outfits which showcased the best of British design. The Spice Girls whipped up a storm, performing two of my favourite Spice tracks – ‘Wannabee’ and ‘Spice up your Life’. All the girls looked fabulous and age defying, but Victoria was probably the pick of couture wearing a beautiful trained dress from Giles Deacon. Geri gave a…

Bafta Fashion – The Best Looks
The most glamorous night in the TV calendar is undoubtedly the BAFTA awards. The beautiful stars of the small screen all put on their finery as they battle to win the awards that really matter (sorry TV Quick and Soap Awards but you know I’m telling the truth). This year was no exception. Celebrities like Kelly Brook, Alex Jones, Holly Willoughby and the gorgeous Millie Mackintosh all walked the supremely patriotic red, white and blue carpet. But who’s style seriously impressed? Who wore the dresses that made me go – ooooooh! Here are my choices for best dressed on the night, with a few ideas on how you can get that red carpet look…

Getting set for Summer with TK Maxx
With temperatures in the UK set to eclipse those in Ibiza this week, now is definitely the time to be sorting out that Summer Wardrobe. And a key part of that has to be sunglasses. What fashionista would be seen without a pair of glamorous sunnies, whether it be day or night, a Red Carpet event or a photocall? This season, fab High Street outlet TK Maxx has an amazing range of designer sunglasses available. Thankfully these come without the enormous price tag often attached to these covetable accessories. They have hot designer ranges including Valentino, Marc Jacobs and lust-haves from the gorgeous Mr Tom Ford himself, with styles that…
