Coast- getting ready for the Wedding season.
It’s only February, and already I have three invites to weddings. Wedding season is not yet upon us, and I’m already dreading the ‘What do I wear?’ problems. You see, weddings used to be so easy. People got married in a church. You picked a floral dress and a big hat and you couldn’t really go wrong. Now, people get married in hotels, stately homes, on beaches and occasionally in churches, and suddenly you are faced with a wedding minefield. Thankfully Coast always seem to have something that will suit. So whether you are opting for a full length and fabulous dress, a flirty floral number or something simple and…

The Designer Vintage Wedding show returned to Birmingham in style
Last weekend saw the return of the most stylish wedding show on the Calendar. The Designer Vintage Wedding Show had a new home, Edgbaston County Cricket Ground, lots of new exhibitors and a whole host of stylish brides and guests who were totally wowed with the beautiful wedding goodies on display. Throw in a host of fabulous fashion shows organised by different eras, bridal make-up tips by the wonderful Emily Jayne, and a goodie bag that included Molton Brown goodies and cake pops by ‘We are Delish‘, and you have a wonderful event. Here are some of my highlights. Cherished Jewellery that carries ‘the patina of age’, Cherished is the…

A rare sighting of the lesser spotted Duchess of Cambridge
There was a rare sighting of the Duchess of Cambridge this weekend, as she attended…you’ve guessed it…yet another society wedding. Kate was attending the wedding of Harriet Colthurst and Thomas Sutton, and looked beautiful wearing a raspberry coloured lace dress by Collette Dinnigan with Prada heels. At first I thought the dress may have been another Erdum design, as it was similar in style to the navy lace dress that she wore when she touched down in Canada. I love Kate in this shade, it seriously enhances her colouring and highlights her brunette locks. Collette Dinnigan was an interesting choice, as she is South African born and Australian based, so,…

Style icon of the month June -Lily Allen
There was only one choice for style icon of the month for June – beautiful bride and glowing bride-to-be Lily Allen. I have been a fan of Lily’s style since I saw her at Glastonbury wearing a multi-coloured ball gown and hi-top trainers. She had that eclectic mix of vintage and street style that made her look totally original. I was a fan of her Lily Loves collection for New Look (Still have two dresses in my wardrobe), and just thought she was a total one-off, an English eccentric. Lily’s style has grown over the years, she has developed a penchant for Chanel and for vintage dresses and pieces. She…

Kate and Pippa attend friends wedding – check out the frocks!
Just hours after Kate had wowed the crowds wearing an Alexander McQueen Ivory coatdress for trooping the colour, she was stepping out in yet another fabulous dress for the wedding of an old friend. Abandoning the McQueen dress, but keeping the beautiful black Vivienne Sheriff picture hat that she had worn so effectively to Trooping the Colour, Kate stepped out in a chic black and white dotted fitted dress and LK Bennett heels for the wedding of Sam Waley-Cohen and Annabel Ballin. Also attending was little sister Pippa, who was wearing a striking lime green silk coat to the event, with a flash of something monochrome underneath. SHe looked to be wearing the…
