Duchess of Cambridge’s Winter Warmers
What a couple of weeks it has been for the Duchess of Cambridge. Last week she was the picture of health as she visited Cambridge and then Scotland, even playing a quick game of hockey. This week we get the announcement of her pregnancy and then the shock news she is in hospital suffering from a debilitating form of morning sickness. Happily, she emerged today looking happy and healthy and as stylish as ever, so now I feel it’s time to review Kate’s recent wardrobe choices. Stephen Arthur and his Perfect Party dress
Birmingham has a new style star. Stephen Arthur, an ICT teacher from Birmingham, created the winning design in a very special competition hosted by ITV’s This Morning programme and John Lewis. Called ‘The perfect Party dress’, the brief was to create a beautiful gown that could make all women look and feel like a million dollars. It also needed to be affordable and current. A stunning floor-length ball gown, crafted from the floatiest of chiffon, the dress has a crossover neckline that creates a structured and feminine silhouette,…

Ted Baker’s Sweet Shoppe – Good enough to eat
Some of the frothiest, prettiest fashion accessories around at the moment are the ones that form the Ted Baker Sweet Shoppe. In a range of the brightest shades that range from the zingiest yellows to the palest of ice cream pinks, the Sweet Shoppe range has it all. A great selection of tote bags, purses, gloves and shoppers, I think these are just the cutest pressies on the market this year. Personal favourites are those gorgeous Chuppa gloves, that come in my favourite colour, a yellow so bright the sun pales in comparison, but are probably more practical in the cool and neutral tan shade . And don’t forget those…

The Spring/Summer collection is just stuffed with real statement pieces, gorgeous necklaces designed to jazz up any outfit, statement earrings that Beyoncé would just kill for and bracelets and earrings that were designed for every occasion, from High Tea…

An Interview with Philip Armstrong and Tony Burke Armstrong
Last Friday night was a huge night for Birmingham fashion. Harvey Nichols, in the fabulous Mailbox, hosted a very special fashion show that showcased the amazing talent of the label Philip Armstrong. I was lucky enough to be able to grab a bit of time after the show with Philip and Tony Burke Armstrong, the creative force behind the label, and to ask them a few questions. They proved to be friendly, approachable and funny – as gorgeous as their designs. Q. You are famous for dressing celebrities, which celebrity have you most enjoyed working with? A. Alesha Dixon, she’s a real style icon. A lot of designers aspire to…
