February Outfit Post
Last Month was a pretty dreadful month for my family, if all truth be told. My little boy had an operation which went wrong and led to a stay in hospital. He was then taken seriously ill again after infection took a hold, and we were honestly in danger of losing him. I spent large portions of last month in hospital with Joe, or dressed in pjs as we caught up on sleep and had cosy days at home. So this post is based on the times I did get out and about, to do reviews and to see family. Once again, I have been picking up bits in the…

Reviewed – The Feathered Beauty Scarf
With the rise of the blogger as come the rise in the blogger online store. Many bloggers these days run online shops alongside their blogs, selling items like costume jewellery and scarves that offer a real stylish alternative to items sold on the High Street. Blogger stores often offer unique items at reasonable prices, and with the extra special touch of being beautifully packaged, making them a great gift idea. One of the nicest blogger shops is the one run by Becky, The Lifestyle Blogger UK which is a great place to pick up a treat for yourself, or a gift for a loved one. Becky recently sent me a…

A designer wishlist
I’m not really what you would call a label junkie, but I do love designer bags and shoes. When it comes to clothing, I’m not really the right size for most designer collections, so although I have the odd piece in my wardrobe, I’m perfectly happy to stick to High Street and vintage pieces. But designer bags and shoes are another proposition altogether. These I find hard to resist. The good news is that these days, you don’t actually have to break the bank when it comes to buying a designer piece. I have quite a few amazing buys that I have found in charity shops, including bags from Marc…

Reviewed – ‘bloglife’ necklace
One of the most supportive blogger groups around is UKBloggers. Whether you are looking for advice, opportunities or even just a chat, the UK Blogger forums, through their website, Twitter and Facebook, offer all those things, and a whole lot more. As a blogger I find them invaluable, a great community to be a part of. Recently leading light of UK Bloggers, Sarah Bailey of Life in a Breakdown, had the fabulous idea to commission a series of necklaces that would appeal to bloggers. Using a range of phrases and images that bloggers would totally approve of, Sarah collaborated with Funky Laser to create a unique set of necklace designs…

Outfit post – January looks.
I generally hate January, it is a dull, miserable, cold and dark month that is such a disappointment after the bright lights and fun of Christmas. And, for me, this January has been no exception to this rule, made even more depressing due to a worrying health scare I have been living with, one now made a little easier due to some pretty drastic tests last week. Thankfully it seems that my worst fear won’t be realised, although I will still need some more tests and appointments in the coming months. But January hasn’t been all doom and gloom. I have hit the sales with some avengence, picking out some…
