The Iconic World of Cartier
When it comes to naming the most iconic jewellery and watch brand of them all, there is only one name that springs to mind. Cartier is a name that is synonymous with style and elegance, a brand that has been beloved of Kings and Queens, both of the royal and movie star variety. As a status symbol, it is hard to beat, as Emily Seares says in an article for The Watch Gallery “…The vibrant, strong red of the Cartier packaging, the spine tingling flash of red like a Louboutin red sole and the prestige associated with it. It is like no other…” Cartier was founded in Paris in 1847…

La Cage Aux Folles – Sequins, Feathers and Laughs Galore
La Cage Aux Folles is one of the classic modern musicals and it was in barnstorming force at the Birmingham Hippodrome last night, receiving a glorious standing ovation for an audience that had laughed, cried and been charmed by John Partridge and Adrian Zmed in the lead roles. The story of love and acceptance seems more apt than ever in our modern society where politicians like Dindon seem to becoming more and more prevalent. La Cage Aux Folles is the most glitziest, glamorous nightclub/revue on the French Riviera, and Albin, as Zsa Zsa is it’s most famous (drag) star. In a happy relationship with club owner Georges for over 20…

TV BAFTAS – The best looks
Last night was the TV BAFTAS, which saw the most stylish stars of the small screen walking the red carpet. Anna Friel, Thandie Newton, Suranne Jones and Tess and Claudia were amongst those who turned up to celebrate the most glittering night in the television calendar and were also amongst the best dressed, with Thandie and Anna taking my own personal vote. The designs were surprisingly varied, most award ceremonies this year have seen very similar styles, or a run on one particular colour, but the BAFTAS ranged from very elegant little black dress styles sported by the likes of Jessica Raine, slinky cocktail dresses like the sugar pink Roland…

Finding your perfect glasses with Perfect Glasses
I am in the odd one out in my family. My mom, sister and brother all wear glasses due to poor eyesight (although Mom does venture into contact lense territory at times.) My dad wears glasses for reading too, so the only person who doesn’t wear glasses is me, which, I have to be honest, sometimes leads to me feeling a little left out. Because where, once upon a time, glasses were something to be dreaded, with thick frames, even thicker lenses and style left at the opticians door, these days this is so not the case. Today glasses, particularly women’s glasses, are a stylish addition to any look or…
