ASOS Festival Fashion
Summer seems such a long way off at the moment, as we head towards a Merry Easter where Santa himself could be delivering the Eggs. Yes, the weather is that bad. That said, we are almost into April and the excitement about Summer festival season is already building. Bon Jovi have been announced as playing on the Oak Stage at the bst hyde park this summer, whilst there is lots of excitement about the headliners at this years Glastonbury, with rumours about everyone from The Rolling Stones to Prince appearing at this years event. And, in sunnier circumstances, next weekend sees Coachella, the festival where sundresses and celebs are the…

Uniqlo and Celia Birtwell – It’s here!
This is definitely one of the most anticipated High Street and designer collaborations ever. The legendary textile designer Celia Birtwell, the lady behind those iconic Ossie Clark prints, has collaborated with cool Japanese brand Uniqlo to create a series of pretty basics and much lusted over scarves and stoles. Taking those same iconic prints that once adorned the coolest of 1970s stars as the starting point, the prints have then been rescaled, recoloured and the reworked in order to make them fresh and irresistable for 2013. Sure to be a total sell out, and with models Portia Freeman and Charlotte Pallister fronting an eye-catching campaign, this is a collection you…

Welly Season from Wynsors
This afternoon my son decided he wanted to play football in the garden. This was frankly the last thing I wanted after trying to fight off the dreaded flu for almost a week now, the telly and a hot chocolate sounded a far better choice, but into the garden I went…and realised yet again what a wet winter this has been. Sodden grass that my boot heels sunk into, leaving a trail of mud and grass all over the patio (and all over my new boots!). All this was a gentle reminder that I need to get some new wellies, and quick. Wynsors has a really cute and fun range…

Fashionable Feet
Wondering what the latest in footwear is going to be this autumn? The key word from designers and the couture shows converted to the high street is – fun! The over-the-top decoration of the summer styles is giving way to young, colourful, and glitzy styles, and enough choice for even the most demanding. Leisure styles favour the trainer-teamed-with-glitter look, so check out New Look for their black star stud lace-up high-top shoes online (pictured). Worn with slim-cut black cords, these look stunning. Boots have gone more basic, with a return to an emphasis on the chunky country-style, and the quality of leather. Colours are tan, dark brown and black,…

V festival – a sea of dresses
Maybe it’s because the weather has been ‘too darn hot’ in the inimitable words of Ann Miller, but amidst the usual parade of denim and hotpants, there were a lot of very pretty dresses on display at the V festival this last weekend. There were maxi dresses, midi dresses, gorgeous vintage print tea dresses and even some candy stripes courtesy of Sophie Ellie Bexter. This was a true taste of summer, and the style that I love most – feminine, girly, but grunged up a little with some boots and shaggy hair. Top glamour marks must go to Billie Piper, who looked glorious in her Ossie Clark style maxi –…
