Fashion Icons Who Support Sustainable Style
With London Fashion Week in full flow, it is sometimes hard to believe that an industry that is perceived to be shallow and vanity based can also be doing something good for the planet. But the 21st Century has seen the rise of recycling, re-using and sustainability when it comes to all areas of our shopping lives, and that includes fashion. We re-use out plastic carrier bags, or better style buy an eco bag, we look for organic cottons and fabrics, and there has been a push to buy British to reduce our carbon footprint. Even the most stylish of fashion parties can now be environmentally friendly, with companies like…

Gudrun Sjoden Belem Dress
I will never stop being a fan of the wonderful Gudrun Sjoden. Whilst the rest of the High Street is embracing minimalism and neutrals, Gudrun takes one look and says ‘no, not for me’ and instead treats us to a riot of pattern and colour, in high quality organic cottons that allow us to stretch, move and breathe. A fashion maverick in the vein of Westwood, Betsey Johnson and Pam Hogg, Gudrun’s slice of Scandinavian style is one to love and embrace. I’ve been a fan of Gudrun since I discovered the brand at a Varg press day a fair few years ago, and each season I add a few…

Wallis New Season Picks
September has often been called Fashion’s favourite month. With all the new season collections, the various fashion weeks, and of course, the September issues of the glossy magazines, September is a wonderful month for those who love clothes and style. I am going to be taking a look at some of the new season ranges that are hitting the High Street as we speak, and today I am starting off by looking at the just in pieces from Wallis. Wallis has always been a stylish destination on the High Street, both for casual clothes, workwear and evening wear, and in recent years, it has more fully embraced trends without losing…

July Outfit Post
July was my favourite month of the year so far. This was because I spent half of the month in wonderful Cyprus, and, more importantly, I got to see my little brother get married. It was a month of sunshine and fun, and, to top it all off, there was a sleepover at Warwick Castle and a theatre night too. A busy month that was full of fun. My outfits this month all suggest sunny days and a warm climate, which makes perfect sense as Cyprus was going through a bit of a heatwave at the time (40 degrees plus most days – basically melting weather). There are new buys…

My Summer Wardrobe – A Bumper Outfit Of The Day Post
Due to a family holiday in Cyprus which also incorporated my brother’s wedding, I am really late with my outfit of the day post for June. It really has been an incredibly busy time, and June was the oddest of months, with both my birthday and Father’s Day falling in the month, as well as some great blogging events and family gatherings. Clearly it was a month when my wardrobe was going to be earning its keep. The weather was practically schizophrenic, one moment the sun was so hot the only thing to do was immerse yourself in a pool (of the paddling variety in my case), the next there…
