Long sleeved shift dresses at Wallis
Long sleeved shift dress styles are a great addition to your Winter Wardrobe. The long sleeved style makes them much warmer than a traditional shift, and they look great with opaque tights and chunky ankle boots or Mary Janes. The shift dress has a 1960s feel, but is also very versatile. Worn with a strappy metallic sandal and a clutch bag, and you have a chic evening look. Add tights, boots and a blazer, and this will work well as workwear. With a chunky knit cardigan and a woolly scarf, this can make a cool winter option. A long sleeved shift dress certainly earns its keep in your wardrobe, and…

Preparing for the Chill with Esprit
January. I have to be honest, it’s my least favourite month of the year. The one that replaces the Christmas glow, glitter and glamour with dark, cold weather and a decidedly chilly air. This month is proving to be the norm rather than the exception. By the end of the week we could be looking at sleet and snow across most of the UK, and those sparkly days of December seem an awful long way away. It’s time to dig out those Winter Woollies. December Outfit post part 2 – Christmas!
Welcome to part 2 of my outfit round up for the month of December. This is the part of the run up concentrating on the outfits I wore over the Christmas period, so, as you might expect, it contains a lot of glitter and sparkle. There are also lots of new things that I was gifted for Christmas by my lovely hubby and family. And, as we are now firmly entrenched in the January sales, lots of the items are now heavily reduced, giving you the ideal opportunity to grab a great sales bargain. I am always firmly of the opinion that the Christmas tree shouldn’t be the only thing…

December Outfit post – Part 1- Build up to Christmas
Happy New Year to you all! I’m starting the year with the usual outfit round up, this time for the month of December. But, as December has been a very busy and active month, I am going to split December into two posts, with this one being the run up to Christmas, which was filled with parties, panto’s and all around good living. Party season meant some new pieces added to my wardrobe, and a dip into my sparkly wardrobe currently housed in my son Joe’s room. New pieces include the Untold dress from House of Fraser, which is probably the shortest thing I had worn in years, and the…

A velvet obsession
When it comes to Christmas 2016, the main fashion trend that we will remember is how luxurious velvet made quite a comeback. It is always a fabulous fabric for Christmas, with its roots in the stunning red velvet capes that we imagine Victorian children wearing. Princess Diana, Kate Middleton, Angelina Jolie, Jennifer Lawrence and Kim Kardashian have all fell under a velvet spell, whilst just last week Kate Moss opted for classic black velvet at the British Fashion Awards. Velvet is having a beautiful, fashion moment. I’ve been having my own velvet moments this Christmas. It is a fabric that I always reach for as soon as the Christmas Tree…
