Best looks and High Street finds from the NTA’s
The NTA’s are always a bit of a feeble hunting ground when it comes to stylish, classy looks. For some reason, put a red carpet in front of our soap stars, reality TV stars and TV presenters, and you suddenly get flesh on display, lots of it. Bare Midriffs, outrageous amounts of cleavage and sheer skirts flashing acres of leg and a whole lot more are the uniform of choice for this event, and so as someone who loves to look at beautiful dresses, this is one red carpet event that tends to leave me cold – colder than the barely dressed stars. But that doesn’t mean there were no…

Monochrome – the trend that never goes away
Salt and Pepper. Laurel and Hardy. Ham and Eggs. Strawberries and cream. All great partnerships, together in perfection. And when it comes to colour combinations, the classic, the epitome of the perfect combination has to be black and white. Just this week, supermodel of the moment Gigi Hadid, showed how classically elegant black and white can be, teaming a white silk blouse and cigarette pants with strappy cage heels. Fashion Focus – Ankle Boots
In my humble opinion, a good pair of ankle boots, especially one with some sort of heel, is the most versatile footwear in your wardrobe, and one you should not be without when putting together any sort of capsule wardrobe. Choose a stylish suede pair, with either a kitten or stiletto heel are perfect with a bodycon or shift dress and add an edge to any outfit. I don’t mind admitting that, when Winter really sets in, I live in ankle boots. Currently my hero…

New season wardrobe updates from Boden
It always seems strange to be talking about ‘new season’ fashion when we are firmly entrenched in the current season, and that seems odder still when the current season is winter. But now is the time when stores and websites start to get the new season drops, ones which point to brighter, warmer days. I am going to be looking at a lot of the new season ranges from the High Streets in upcoming weeks, but am going to start where I always seem to start, with the rather wonderful new collection from Boden. I guess what I love about this collection from Boden is that it is very much…

December looks post
It has been quite a long time since I did a looks post, but December is certainly the busiest and best time when it comes to making the most of your existing wardrobe, and adding a few new pieces (in the form of Christmas gifts) to it. For someone like me, who loves glamour and sequins, faux fur and pretty dresses, I always try to make the most of all those opportunities to get dressed up, and although this is not a comprehensive list of everything I have worn for the festive period, these are some of my favourites. It is also a post that is definitely demarcated by illness.…
