A Swimshop Swimwear review
Often when we talk about swimwear, we really mean the sort of stuff we wear for topping up our tans on the beach – i.e. something skimpy, pretty, and not really suitable for swimming in at all. If you are looking for swimwear this year that is actually fit for the purpose it was named for – i.e swimming, then Swimshop is the place you should be turning to. Here there is a great range of swimwear that looks good, but is substantial enough for doing lengths at your local pool. I love swimming, last Summer I was taking Joe at least twice a week to our local baths and…

A holiday wardrobe for Joe
In just three weeks time I will be getting really excited, and probably very flustered and panicked, as we make the final touches to our holiday packing. There is always that last minute fluster, have we got everything? Are we taking too many, or not enough clothes for two weeks? Will Joe, once again, wear every single thing in his case thanks to the devil that is melting ice cream? The answer is more than likely yes to all questions, but at least with Joe’s stuff the packing is easier to begin with as he will literally live in shorts and t-shirts for the whole of the two weeks. Shoezone review – Haute Hippie festival style
I first became a fan of Shoezone when Joe was small. They sold the cutest t-bar canvas shoes that had a real retro feel and were a total bargain (2 pairs for £8 as I recall.) I loved them, and of course I had a look at the ladies selection, and found it to be full of really pretty sandals and flat pumps, all of which were really affordable. I was converted and now regularly buy shoes from the brand. I was recently offered the opportunity to review a pair of shoes, sandals or boots from their current lines. I was spoiled for choice, but decided that, as it was…

John Lewis Beach Safari edit
When it comes to colours and trends that sum up Summer perfectly, the colours, tones and patterns of safari style are pretty hard to beat. Jungle style prints and neutral beige, khaki and nude tones can easily transport you to a place of sun, sea and sand, even when you are feeling the heat in the city. John Lewis have launched summer with a style edit called ‘Beach Safari’. An eclectic mixture of John Lewis’s own collection and selected brands, this range is chocked full of animal prints, natural shades and simple clean lines. What makes this collection stand out from the general safari style looks is the addition of…

Yondi Pillows for Big Kids
For many children, long car journeys are the perfect opportunity to have a nap. A mixture of tiredness, bored over endless traffic jams on the UKs motorways and sometimes the heat of the car make it very hard for kids to stay awake. Unfortunately, this can lead to situations of sore neck, with heads lolling to one side for want of something more comfortable than the average car back seat. So I personally think that the latest invention from Trunki, the Yondi Pillow for big kids, is a great, practical idea that may make journeys a more comfortable for little ones. The Yondi pillow is a soft neck pillow that…
