Selfridges Destination Christmas
Even in the realms of Christmas in July events, there is always something super special about Selfridges Christmas in July. For fans of the festive season, it is truly destination Christmas. Held in the industrial confines of the Old Selfridges Hotel, this years event had snow, a giant Polar Bear, a Kate Spade pop up shop and some of the most mouth-watering gorgeous food treats I have ever tasted. There were also William and Kate Christmas cards, dancing pigs from Giffords Circus, a Tatty Devine ‘make your own bracelet’ stand and so much more… The one thing I always love about Selfridges Christmas events are the range of items that…

B Public Relations Christmas in July
Last week, in the middle of a sweltering July week, I attended a whole host of Christmas press days. It was a weird and yet wonderful experience. The first event I attended was for B Public Relations, who represent a whole host of fabulous beauty and fashion companies, including the very much in the news maternity brand Seraphine (beloved of the Duchess of Cambridge), Truffle Shuffle and my fave of all bathtime products Bodhi. Choosing the stunning surroundings of the Saville Club (truly whit whoo if you’ve never paid a visit) and treating press and bloggers to a very lovely breakfast that included smoked salmon and pancakes smothered in treacle,…

A Radley Bag = A British Classic.
Radley, the classic British bag company famous for the cute Scottish Terrier logo, will be celebrating its 30th Birthday next year. Yes, it was in 1984 that Lowell Harder started her business on a stall in Camden Market, London, going on to one of the best loved and iconic of all British bag companies. For a while I must admit that Radley (or Radley London as it has now been re-branded, showing pride for those Camden Market roots) disappeared off my fashion radar. I’m not sure whether it was the dog logo, or the overuse of those beige and pale pinks, but I just found myself passing the Radley stands…

Can High Heels ever be comfortable as well as beautiful?
I feel as though I am currently living two different shoe lives. My public life is spent constantly running around in high heels. Functions, nights out, weddings, funerals, meetings with the bank manager and more are all attended in heels – the higher, the better. But the private me, the mommy playing football in the garden, running in the park or trying to manoeuvre the trolley with the wonky wheels at the supermarket, spends her time in flat ballerina pumps. They are so much more comfortable and I can do so much more when I’m wearing them. But, try as I might to convert myself to their merits, I still…

William and Kate welcome baby George to the World
After all the speculation and tantalising slips of the tongue indicating that Baby Cambridge was going to be a girl, Kate and William have now welcomed a beautiful little Prince by the name of George Alexander Louis to the world. And it seems the world is already besotted with the gorgeous little bundle. Kate looked amazing, choosing to wear a cornflower blue and white dotted crepe de chine dress by Jenny Packham. This was a great stylish choice, the empire line showing that Kate had no intention of hiding her remaining baby bump, and the colour obviously echoing William’s blue jeans and shirt. The trusty Pied A Terre wedges made…
