Must watch TV – Sienna Miller as ‘The Girl’

‘The Girl’, if you were wondering, was Tippi Hedren, a beautiful blonde actress from the early 1960s whose career was launched, and then ruined, by the legendary film director Alfred Hitchcock. He gave her the lead role in his classic movie ‘The Birds’, a film where she showed a real talent for conveying the icy sensuality of the ice-cream blonde that Hitchcock was so impressed with, the stereotypical Hitchcock Blonde. She also had a stunning role as the beautiful kleptomaniac Marnie, opposite a young Sean Connery, again excelling in this difficult role. Loving Marios Schwab at Debenhams

Debenhams continues to add to its impressive roster of A-List designers with Marios Schwab the latest addition to the Editions range. Marios is a real a-list favourite, Emily Blunt being a key star who loves his designs, and the collection got a major boost this week, when the gorgeous new Bond girl, Naomie Harris, wore a stunning and revealing Marios Schwab design to the Skyfall premiere. There are other great dresses in the collection, slinky cocktail style gowns that flatter and fit the body and enhance those curves.…

Even the fabulously bad Meg, of Meg and Mog fame, had some cute heels with shiny gold buckles. Witches shoes were most definitely cool. This month Spartoo is celebrating the coming of Halloween with a selection of shoes that will shock, delight and spook in equal…

Next Key trends – it’s all about Gatsby

When Next announced a special network challenge in order to find a guest blogger for their ‘Style Secrets’ blog, I was immediately interested. I love to blog about the sort of clothes that I personally love to wear, especially those from one of my most visited High Street stores. I decided to take up the challenge to show Fashion-Mommy readers what I would choose as the five key pieces for A/W 2012 from the current Next collection. My picks were influenced by the most eagerly awaited film of the season – the Carey Mulligan/Leonardo Di Caprio vehicle ‘The Great Gatsby’. The latest Great Gatsby movie is released on Boxing day…
