Kiera Knightley’s wedding – Rock and Roll Prom Style
Kiera Knightley got married this weekend, and I have to say how much I loved her whole look. Apparently recycling a Rodarte dress that she first wore a few years ago, and adding a Chanel jacket, pretty ballerina pumps and a chain of delicate flowers to her hair, she epitomised the cool and casual, low-key bride – and looked just wonderful. I love so much about Kiera’s wedding style. In the days when excess is the norm (Kardashian’s anyone?), to see a bride looking so fresh and pretty is just so refreshing. Add in the fact that Kiera recycled an admittedly beautiful dress, and then slipped on a pair of…

The latest get the celebrity looks featuring Pippa Middleton, Shenae Grimes and Beth Ditto
If you’ve decided to avoid the crowds this weekend and chill at home, step this way. I’ve been scouring the magazines and websites to bring you a veritable feast of ‘get the celebrity looks’ from a host of fashionable ladies (and a couple of pretty cute babies too). This week I’m looking at Valentino shoes, as worn by Beth Ditto and Bella Thorne, and currently available in Selfridges. But if your budget doesn’t stretch to the Valentino kind, Nelly have an amazingly similar pair for less than £50. Beth and Bella both look beautiful in their shoes, and Bella also wears a fantastic dress from Topshop no less. I’ve also…

I’m planning a holiday wardrobe…
Sometimes, an event that has caused you undue grief can have a happy ending. And so it has proved for me. A long-running case looking at professional negligence has been finally closed in favour of a close family member (will not bore you with all the details, but really, some companies are just not worth working for under any circumstances), and with it finally at an end, all thoughts have turned to having a family holiday, abroad, for the first time in a couple of years. And boy, is that an exciting thought! So, at the end of June I will be jetting off for two weeks in the sun,…

End of the Month Shoe Lust
Tomorrow will be the 1st of May, so for many of you, today is the last day of the month, and that means payday, and the time for a special treat! This is probably why, after browsing on shoe websites for a couple of hours, I felt a real compulsion to theoretically fill my virtual basket with the sort of shoes that I would buy if money was no object. Shoes are a bit of an addiction for me. I have more pairs than I need, many of them that never get worn, being too small, too big, too uncomfortable, too tight or too high. But I would never part…

Task Pr Press Day – fashion, accessories and much more.
As a blogger I get to attend lots of fashion events and press preview days, where you get to look at new products and launches. Some of these events can be, quite frankly disappointing, but others are really great examples of event marketing, choosing a great venue, having a brilliant ambiance and showcasing products and clients to their best possible advantage. One of the nicest events I have attended lately was a press show showcasing brands for Task PR. This was a great selection of fashion, jewellery and accessories and was held at the Soho Gallery, a quirky, multi-storied venue in the heart of London. This venue, with it’s wooden floors…
