Beautiful images preserved on canvas by Canvas Design
In the modern, computer obsessed world we live in, it sometimes seems like photograph albums are becoming a thing of the past. We take pictures using digital cameras, and then store the results online, on our Facebook page, on Google+, on our hard-drives in services like Picassa. The days of boxes of much treasured photographs really seem like a thing of the past. Despite this, we all have that one beautiful image that we cherish and want to display. This might be our wedding photograph, the first picture of our children, a special group shot of the family. A great way to display that much loved image is in the…

Boohoo -#Ownit – shop the Ad
By now you will probably be familiar with the latest ad campaign for Boohoo.com that is encouraging you to not just wear your clothes, but to ‘own them’. The #ownit campaign is all about encouraging people to feel good in their clothing choices, to shop for clothes that actually empower the wearer by making them look good and feel good, and to understand more about how you can shop for your shape. Phase Eight introduces the latest Collection 8 dresses.
I always get super excited when I see that Phase Eight is launching a new range of Collection 8 dresses. This time I am even more giddy than usual after having the pleasure of previewing these dresses at the Phase Eight press day late last year. I fell deeply in love with the whole collection then, and am even more besotted with it after seeing the official press shots. (You can check out the press day post here.) Collection 8, for those who are unfamiliar with the range, is a series of eight dresses that evoke images of old Hollywood. Perfect for the Red Carpet, these dresses have become a…

Reviewed – Heat Holders Thermal leggings
There is one big elephant in the room that needs to be revealed before I write this post. I hate leggings. I have tried to like them, I got a few pairs in black to wear under shorter length dresses that I thought were a bit too indecent for me to wear with just tights, but frankly, I hated them. They wrinkled on my knees, seemed to roll off my tummy and just about drove me to distraction. My leggings were very quickly consigned to the recycling bin. But when I was asked if I wanted to review a pair of thermal leggings from Heat Holders, I said yes very…

Wallis new in – 40s tea dresses, draping and blue.
The new season drops continue to pour into stores, and my latest focus is Wallis. I always love to see what the new season brings to Wallis, knowing there will be stylish quality items in a range of colour options. Wallis is bringing us Spring slowly, with 1940s style fit and flare dresses in the great tea dress tradition, featuring floral and dotted designs. There are also tunic style dresses for those who like a more streamlined shape when it comes to frocks. Tops have draping, knot details and feature faux layering. There are some great, block colour options, as well as patterns that range from watercolour style flowers, to…
