90:10 for men who are 90% grown up.
Every so often, a new design concept just comes along to make you smile. 90:10, a brand new name in mens clothing, does just that. 90:10 is a new and exciting brand for men. The 90:10 name comes from the mantra of the company, that men can be 90% Grown up, but with the other 10% remaining a kid at heart – something I think most men (particularly the ones in my life) would totally identify with. The company is the brainchild of Dan Glatman, who wanted to create designs that were not aimed at teenagers, but instead at grown men who still know how to have a good time…

Teal Square Shutter Dress from Wallis
My party season officially started last week when I enjoyed my first Christmas dinner at MPW in the Cube, Birmingham (You can read my review of that here.) MPW is a sophisticated setting and so it was the perfect place to try out a gorgeous cocktail dress that the lovely people at Wallis had very kindly sent me. This was the teal square shutter dress, and it proved to be the perfect look and fit. I am a huge fan of Wallis dresses, which I think have the right level of style and sophistication for women who are most definitely not teenagers. The teal shutter dress is a perfect example…

My Selfridges Wish List
You know how it is. You see what you would love your other (better?) half to give you on December 25th. You drop all the hints, leave the magazines and catalogues open at the appropriate page, pause and rewind the advert when it comes on the TV, and then, on December 25th you rip open that parcel, and sigh at the fluffy slippers, or the oh so practical food mixer, or even (heaven forbid) Dyson that has appeared in your stocking. If any of the above sounds familiar, and fills you with dread, Selfridges may have the answer you have been looking for. You can create the simplest of wish…

Loving House of Fraser Homewares
I took a little trip to Birmingham last week, and ended up in House of Fraser, which I have to say is one of my favourite department stores. I love to linger in the Beauty department, and also have a real love for the Biba clothing section. But I never really spend much time in the home wares section if I’m being really honest. So, trying to waste a little time whilst I waited for my mom and sister to arrive, I made my way up to the 4th floor… instantly fell in love! There were just so many things that I wanted to buy. From Wedgewood Christmas decorations to…

Brave the rain with cute rain boots
After a lovely dry Summer, and a fairly mild Autumn, it is safe to say that the rain has made an unwelcome appearance, making the school run a rather wet and uncomfortable experience. I live in a semi-rural area, where drains are prone to overflow, pavements are often covered in deep puddles, and the grassy verges turn to mud very quickly. In these situations, fashion goes out of the window, and I turn to the wellies. However, these days turning to Wellington’s doesn’t actually mean turning away from fashion and style. There are lots of really cute rain boots around, many of which can be found on a site called,…
