Currently Loving: Sew Lomax
Every so often, the postman delivers something to your door that makes you smile and smile. Something other than endless bills, or junk mail, or take-away menus. This is what happened to me the day a totally unexpected gift dropped onto my mat from Sew Lomax. Sew Lomax is the brainchild of gifted British designer Emma Lomax. Emma has designed a beautiful, hand crafted range of cosmetics bags, purses and baby accessories that can be personalised with hand embroidered names. Each item is hand finished, which means every single bag, purse or bib is unique. I have long since been a fan of Emma’s designs, which are gloriously girlie and…

Fashion Focus on Jumpers from Dorothy Perkins
I’ve just returned from the first school run of the new term, and all I can say is brrrrr! My little boy Joe described it best this morning, calling the day ‘Sunny cold’, with a bit of frost, bright blue skies and sun, but a definite chill in the air. We are now in the midst of jumper season. Jumper season means those lovely, chunky knits now take centre stage, and as jumper season blends into Christmas jumper season in just a month’s time (just 27 days until you start opening that advent calendar), now is a perfect time to stock up on all those knits, and maybe add a…

Cut for Evans Returns in style
In recent seasons, Evans has been a trail blazer when it comes to plus size design. Moving away from the ubiquitous tunics, tent style dresses and (shudder) all those butterfly designs that seem to flood the plus size market, Evans have instead offered a premium designer collection with Clements Ribeiro, and have also helped to uncover new talent in the form of the ‘Cut for Evans’ collection – the first of which was launched February this year. And now the second collection is being launched, and is offering form-fitting styles, beautiful prints and a palette of blues and purples that both clash and match perfectly. The Cut for Evans collection…

It’s time for another round-up of some of the hottest celebrity looks that have been appearing in gossip columns and fashion pages over the past month. This month’s post has a bias towards some of the first ladies of television, with High Street looks from breakfast television stars Charlotte Dawson and Laura Tobin, along with some pretty Topshop accessories worn by Mr Selfridge star Sai Bennett. We also have a little bit of a British classic label, Jaeger, with pieces from the latest collection being worn by Donna Air and model Jasmine Guinness as a new flagship store was launched. Another model, the newly wed Poppy Delavingne, looks just gorgeous…

Treating your mom with Bonmarche
I was recently approached to see if I would be interested in a blogger project with a difference. I often take part in style challenges, and have also had the opportunity to review products for both the hubby and my little boy Joe, but this one was all about treating the extra special lady in my life, my lovely mom Diane. Bonmarche is a brand that seems to go from strength to strength, with recent collections from David Emanuel and Ann Harvey both adding a cachet of designer glamour to the usual, every day wear. My mom is a huge fan of Bonmarche, there is a rather large branch of…
