The Birmingham Designer Vintage Bridal show
This is all set to be the year of the wedding, with no less than three Royal weddings, including the much-anticipated nuptials of William and Kate. Add into the mix the rock and roll wedding of Kate Moss, and it very much seems as if getting that special piece of paper is very much in vogue. But many brides seem to be looking to the past for their wedding inspiration. Paris Couture week – style, celebs and Chanel
Paris Couture week should really be suffering. We are in the middle of the Worlds worst depression since the 1930s, times are undoubtably hard for a majority of the worlds populus, and Paris Couture is renowned for being the most exquisitely expensive of vestments. But every year Paris Couture week…

The 1974 version of the Great Gatsby was a beautiful failure. Many felt that the leads of Robert Redford and Mia Farrow were totally miscast, and the great things expected of the film failed to materialise. But the costumes designed for this film are another story completely. Theoni V Aldredge was the designer of the stunning…

All hail the maxi – the dress for all seasons!
In December The Sun Newspaper reported that sales of floor length gowns had doubled this year. Selfridges had reported amazing sales of maxi’s, citing a Project D blue silk dress designed by Dannii Minogue that had been a complete sell out, whilst budget chain Peacocks reported that their best seller had been a £32 off the shoulder dress. The Sun put the success of the maxi dress down to the X Factor, believing that the looks sported by Cheryl, Danni and other contestants on the show had help raise the popularity of full length dresses. But we are now a full month away from the X Factor, with maxi dresses…
