Reviewed – AX Paris Chiffon Embellished Maxi Dress
When you think of occasion dressing, AX Paris isn’t necessarily the first brand that springs to mind. But if you wear plus size clothing, you could be making a big mistake if you forget about AX Paris when planning a special outfit for a wedding, ball or Ladies Day event. This year, the website is just full of totally beautiful gowns that would suit any occasion – they are simply that special. On Thursday I was a guest at the Aegon Ladies Day event, held during the Aegon Classic tennis event at Birmingham’s Edgbaston Priory Club. This is a very special occasion with a host of gorgeously attired ladies and…

AX Paris for a night at the Dinosaurs
You may have noticed that each month I bring you a review of an item from the great plus size range from AX Paris, AX Curve. When I was first approached by AX Paris I was a little unsure about reviewing items from the range, I loved the collection, but wondered whether it would prove to be a little too young for me. I couldn’t have been further from the truth. AX Curve has proved to be gorgeous quality, totally wearable, and something that is versatile enough to span across the age groups. I have become a huge fan. The item I chose to review this month was the long…

Reviewed – AX Paris Laser Cut PU Scallop Skirt
I must confess, I haven’t worn a leather, or leather look skirt since I was 20. The last one I wore was a black leather pencil skirt that I got from Camden Market, wore a few times, and then retired, thinking I looked like a watered down version of a Midlands Joan Jett – so not a good look. But earlier this month, whilst browsing the AX Paris curve collection choosing a piece to review, I spotted the Laser Cut PU scallop skirt. This was a leather look skirt with a difference. Forget thigh skimming pelmets, or ultra tight tubes, this skirt was demure and modest, almost 1950s in shape.…

Reviewed – A special Dress from AX Paris
A special evening requires a special dress, and the premiere of a brand new ballet is most definitely a special event. I was a guest at the premiere of Aladdin by the Birmingham Royal Ballet on Friday evening, and was very lucky to be wearing a beautiful dress provided by AX Paris, from their fabulous ‘curve’ range. As a mother of a young child, opportunities for really dressing up are few and far between, so if I was going to the ballet, I was going to be wearing an evening dress! And here it is, the Jewel chiffon Jewel maxi dress in raspberry by Sienna Couture. Now, I have to…

AX Paris Curve Lemon Chiffon Skirt – fruity gorgeousness
When you are a size 16+, you can find yourself limited in the shopping department. Although many stores now have ‘plus size’ ranges, these are often quite limited in scope and choice, to the point that I often find myself mouthing those immortal words ‘not another tunic…’ So I was quite excited last year when AX Paris launched ‘Curve’, a range that would stock fashionable items in sizes 16-26. Curve promised to offer so much more than just leggings and tunics in every shade of black, it promised beautiful maxi dresses perfect for evening occasions, brightly coloured tops and t-shirts that would fit rather than swamp a curvier frame. And…
