- Basket Bags – The Look of SummerEvery summer it seems I succumb to the same fashion obsession. I fall in love with every straw basket or bag I set my eyes on. I buy at least one new one per year, and then use them until they inevitably fall apart. Menorca is a really fabulous place to find them, with natural, simple designs taking their place amongst the coloured straw and more elaborately embellished ones. There is a basket to suit every taste, and they really suit the boho look of maxi dresses and cheesecloth skirts, but look just as good with jeans and a cotton top, or used as a beach bag with a Talitha…
- Claireabella at Toxic Fox – Perfect Beach AccessoriesWhen you are thinking about your Summer holidays, packing light is always at the forefront of your mind. Many airlines restrict you to just 15kgs of luggage these days, which is not exactly brilliant if you are going on a two-week holiday. So packing items that are stylish, but light and space-saving are definitely on the top of our holiday lists. Claireabella, the cult classic personalised bag and accessories company, which is available at Toxic Fox, may just have solved the beach bag/multi-purpose tote bag problem and created something that is cute, personal and very practical. You are probably aware of Claireabella from their television adverts and through the fact…
- New season bags from SpartooI always think Spring is the perfect time to invest in a shiny new handbag. There are always lots of new styles available, in a range of new season colours that you almost become spoiled for choice. I love handbags, having far more than I could ever wish to use. But some of them have seen better days. Having a little boy I often end up carrying the most unexpected of items in my bag – this week, I have taken out a tennis ball (a 50p purchase my son insisted on when we were looking around Sports Direct), stickers that are no longer sticky, a half eaten milky bar…
- Zatchels The Jacky Tsai collectionZatchels have done it again! The ‘it-bag’ manufacturers have come up with another unmissable collaboration, this time with artist Jackie Tsai. Chinese artist Jacky is no stranger to iconic images, the famous floral skull design from Alexander McQueen was a Jacky Tsai creation, and now she has created a stunning range of designs that incorporate the best of Pop Art with Eastern mysticism, and team it with Zatchels fabulous. leather, made in Britain bags. There are three print designs. ‘Virus’ is the most colourful, teaming celestial blue and silver skies with pink and turquoise floral designs. ‘Petrol’ is a neon kaleidoscope of colour, vibrant and striking in equal measures. My…
- A Radley Bag = A British Classic.Radley, the classic British bag company famous for the cute Scottish Terrier logo, will be celebrating its 30th Birthday next year. Yes, it was in 1984 that Lowell Harder started her business on a stall in Camden Market, London, going on to one of the best loved and iconic of all British bag companies. For a while I must admit that Radley (or Radley London as it has now been re-branded, showing pride for those Camden Market roots) disappeared off my fashion radar. I’m not sure whether it was the dog logo, or the overuse of those beige and pale pinks, but I just found myself passing the Radley stands…
