Graceland Ladies Beige Ankle Boots From Deichmann

There are some boots that will take you from day to night, and then there are some boots that are just made for comfy, casual days. The Graceland Ladies Beige Ankle Boots from Deichmann are just those boots. In a cute Western Cowgirl style, these are boots that are comfortable and stylish and look great with a pair of jeans. Plus, I have been able to work a mile in these without any rubbing, blisters or sore toes. That totally makes them winning in my book.

The Graceland boots are a semi slouchy style, not completely loose – they keep their shape well, but they are quite easy to pull on.  The boot is just above the ankle and has a side zip fastening, although this does not go all the way to the top of the boot, but is more to aid pulling on. The heel is a Cuban style making these great for those who avoid flat heels. The heel is not too high to make walking difficult, at just 5.5cm these are still a very comfortable option.

The textured fabric the boots are made from is very suede like and gives them a lovely brushed look.  The boots are also available in black, but I loved the natural beige shade as I think they would also look cute worn with bare legs as the days get warmer. The sizing is generous, you can easily go true to size, even if you intend to wear them with thicker socks or tights.

I wore my boots with skinny jeans for a day at the match.  This involves a walk of about a mile once the car is parked in order to get to the ground. This proved to be no problem in these boots, they remained comfortable and also hard wearing, I was really impressed as they cost less than £25 – a real bargain.

As much as I love a pretty heeled boot, I have to say that doing the school run every day makes wearing them virtually impossible. Joe’s school is in a semi rural area, and this Autumn it has been a nightmare due to falling leaves and rainfall. Frankly, in heeled boots I have had to take my life into my hands as the pavement has become treacherously slippy – at times I’ve walked in the road which is not a good idea either due to it’s narrowness and the volume of traffic that comes through. Clearly I needed to be wearing something more sensible. Thankfully, Hotter shoes have been on hand to come to the rescue.

Hotter are renowned for footwear that is both stylish, comfortable and practical. Coming in a good range of sizes and in both standard and wide fitting, it is the first port of call when you need your football to be durable and reliable. The Mystery Boots totally fit this bill, with the added bonus of coming in a range of gorgeous colours too. With a ruched leg of soft leather and suede, fastening with a stretchy side zip, these are boots that you can wear every day, and particularly for those occasions when you are going to be standing on your feet for a long time, or doing a lot of walking. I wore these boots for the first time on Saturday to visit the Lincoln Christmas Market, and can honestly say they coped with everything, from the extraordinary steep hill, to the crowds and the cold. They were warm and comfy from the minute I put them on, until the moment I took them off again.

These boots are genuinely on of the most comfortable pairs I have ever worn. I think this is partially because they are not flat, but have a slight wedge heel which really saves me from calf pain, and then you can add in the millions of air bubbles that lighten the sole. The boots also have a cushioned insole so they feel like a treat for the feet. They also look pretty cute too, especially when worn with a denim skirt, but these would easily fit over your skinny jeans too.

Reviewed – Carlito Quinn Boots from Brantano

[affilinet_performance_ad size=468×60]

Now we are firmly ensconced in the season of cold and frosty weather, a good pair of boots is a must. My checklist when it comes to boots is that they must look great, be really comfortable and be I tend to go for leather (even though I love suede with a passion, you need at least one pair of leather boots for the really wet weather.) Also, I tend to agree with Victoria Beckham when it comes to heels.

Brantano have a great range of ladies ankle boots including a lot of designs with heels that would look great with a dress or jeans. My current favourites are the Carlito Quinn design which are made by the iconic British brand Clarks. Clarks have changed so much in recent years, they were once known for great quality leather shoes that were mainly worn by kids for school. But now the designs are fashion forward and stylish, but still with that mark of quality that you would expect from the brand.

The Carlito Quinn is almost like a Chelsea Boot with a heel. In stylish black leather and with an 8cm heel, this boot is just lovely. It has elasticated sides which make it very comfortable and offer a little stretch, and there is a small hook detail on the back of the shoe which makes it easy to put the boot on and take it off again. The boot runs true to size, I wear a size five and these are comfortable enough to wear all day, even if you are on your feet for the day.
