Mini-U natural hair and skin products – perfect for pampering your little ones.
One of the bane of my life at the moment is hair. Not my hair I might add, long and straight, with neither a kink or a curl in it, it is easy to manage and look after. No, it is my son’s thick, wavy and rather wayward hair that is the problem. Joe has beautiful hair, thick and lustrous, and full of waves and the odd curl that is a mixture of his Italian inheritance and a throwback to my mom, who has the same thick mop. Unfortunately, like most 4 years olds, he hates having his hair washed, conditioned or brushed. Which is a problem, as Joe is…

Reviewed – Bud and Roo’s Spectacular Adventures
I have had a lifelong love of books and reading, and am now trying to pass this on to my little boy Joe, who has recently celebrated his fourth birthday. So when I was asked if Joe would be interested in reviewing a children’s book introducing the very lovable pair of dogs, Bud and Roo, I was delighted to oblige. Bud and Roo are a pair of gorgeously illustrated dogs, a Border Collie and a beagle. They have been immortalised in a wonderful children’s story by Jessica Valentine, with illustrations by Suzy Jones Biggar. The story is a simple one, perfect for first readers, all about what happens when the…

Making a picture from Oddities – how hard can that be?
And the answer to the above question is really hard, because the three year old tasked with creating the picture is more interested in eating them than being creative. Oddities, for those wondering which planet I’ve just arrived from, are those rather tasty wheat based savoury biscuits from Jacobs. They come in two flavours, bacon (which I’m rather partial to) and cheese. Joe, my three year old. isn’t at all fussy, he likes them both equally. (He told me that through a mouthful…). When I was contacted about taking part in a special Oddities national campaign, I was rather excited. Having a three year old can make blogging rather difficult…

Disney brings it’s Magic to Birmingham
As a fashion blogger, I get invited to all sorts of fabulous events, but it is rare that I am invited to take my family. So it was a really special occasion this week when I was invited to attend the VIP opening of Disney Live at Birmingham NIA, and was also asked if I would like to bring the family along too. I didn’t need to be asked twice – I knew my Donald Duck fanatic Joe, and my Disney Princess niece Lia would just adore the event. The afternoon started with a special pre-show reception. The children were delighted to be given a Mickey Mouse figure each, and…

Joe’s #ColourMeinRK Challenge
This page is called Fashion Mommy, but more often than not it features more of the fashion, and less of the mommy side to me. But I was recently asked if I wanted my little one Joe to take part in a special challenge in collaboration with Britmums and Kelloggs Rice Crispies. This was the colour me in Rice Crispies challenge and involved a very large box of the cereal and a rather gorgeous colouring set containing a range of felts, crayons, glitter glue and magic pens. The idea was that Joe decorated his Rice Crispy packet however he wanted, and then I would upload a photograph of his masterpiece.…
