Festive books from Little Tiger Press
I am in the opinion that every Christmas stocking should contain at least one book. Whether it belongs to an adult or a child, the gift of words is one to treasure, and the encouragement of reading through lovely stories with beautiful illustrations is definitely be something to be encouraged. Little Tiger Press have created a wonderful range of stories for young children (Key Stage One and younger) that would make lovely gifts this Christmas, or would be great in the build up to the big day. Teal Square Shutter Dress from Wallis
My party season officially started last week when I enjoyed my first Christmas dinner at MPW in the Cube, Birmingham (You can read my review of that here.) MPW is a sophisticated setting and so it was the perfect place to try out a gorgeous cocktail dress that the lovely people at Wallis had very kindly sent me. This was the teal square shutter dress, and it proved to be the perfect look and fit. I am a huge fan of Wallis dresses, which I think have the right level of style and sophistication for women who are most definitely not teenagers. The teal shutter dress is a perfect example…

Christmas comes to MPW in The Cube
Christmas came a little early to Birmingham’s iconic Cube building, when Marco Pierre White’s popular restaurant hosted a ‘White Christmas’ tasting event, treating bloggers and food writers to a glamorous evening of Champagne, turkey and crackers, as well as what must be the most breathtaking view in Birmingham. The restaurant is getting ready to launch its festive set menu, which will be available to parties of 10 or more people. In addition, this was an opportunity to showcase the private dining suite, which, with glass on three sides of the room, offers those exquisite views that MPW is quite rightly famous for. We started the evening with Champagne in the…

If you are also facing similar dilemmas, then the Plastic Box Shop would be a great website for you to take a look at. The Plastic Box Shop has a fantastic range of storage solutions that will basically address any problem area. If you need storage for…

A Christmas letter from the Lapland Mailroom
My little boy Joe was unwell today and didn’t go to school. So whilst we were tucked up under blankets on the sofa, we thought this was an ideal opportunity for Joe to write his letter to Santa. Joe was really excited about this, he had been formulating a list for some time now, and he is also beginning to really enjoy writing too. We had picked up a Santa letter writing kit from The Works, and had a lovely time putting together sentences about ‘Star Wars’ toys and Playmobil Castles, and dragons. Now, what Joe doesn’t know is that I already have a reply from Santa sitting in the…
