Grab your perfect evening dresses and a Bank Holiday bargain
My parents celebrate a very special milestone at the end of the year, celebrating 40years of marriage. To celebrate this very special occasion, we’ve been looking for something special to do as a family, and one of the most popular ideas has been to do a cruise. All the brochures showing cruises 2014 are already in the travel agents, and the Med is looking a likely destination. 2014 could be a very exciting time. Cruising is one of my favourite ways to holiday, the photographs above were taken when I last cruised the Med in 2009. I guess one of the main reasons for me loving the lure of the…

The final Summer sales; What to choose?
The Summer sales signs are everywhere, designed to enticing and seducing us with some amazing bargains. Sales are great and you can pick up some real bargains, but, if like me you’ve recently been on holiday and money is tight, you may need to have a sort out to sell some unwanted stuff before you start buying even more. Money Supermarket’s ‘Room for Improvement’ Challenge.
I was recently asked if I wanted to take part in a special challenge/competition being run by the MoneySupermarket.com. Entitled the Money Supermarket Room for Improvement competition, the challenge was simple. Could you revamp a room in your house with a budget of just £50? What room would you choose, and what would you spend the money on? I was really excited to take part in this competition, but must stress that a good many rooms in my house need sprucing up at present, due to some home improvements that have left new plaster that requires painting, and also due to a four-year-old who went through the usual toddler wrecking…

The collection is lovely, and with prices below £25, is also great value and a perfect budget friendly treat. In the other corner we have the luxurious top picks of the week from Selfridges, which include a classic dress from Roland Mouret, and a mouth-watering gorgeous jacket from Isabel Marant. There is also a great bag and shoe offer from Clarks, which would enable you to buy the Marsh flower bag for just £15…

Duchess Kate – The recycling continues.
As her pregnancy continues, Kate Middleton shows why she is well deserving of the title ‘The Duchess of Thrift’ as she continues to recycle and revamp existing pieces from her wardrobe for public occasions and private events. This weekend alone, Kate has shown off two different coats that she has altered in some way in order to accommodate her very neat, but ever-growing baby bump. On Friday, Kate headed to the races at Cheltenham in a camel coat from Joseph. This coat is a real wardrobe favourite of Kate’s, she has been wearing it for at least 8 years, and the coat was daringly short for the pregnant Duchess. It…
