Selfridges – New Season Picks, including some of Duchess Kate’s favourite designers
With Christmas now just a distant memory, it seems the time is right to look at what the designers have in store for us for these early days of 2013 (and doesn’t it still feel strange to be typing that?). A trip to Selfridges shows that there is a lot to savour from some of our favourite designers. Erdem continues the quest for the perfect lace dress with the beautiful cappuccino lace of the Anna dress, whilst elsewhere there is an awful lot of blue to enjoy, in all shades, from the bright and vibrant, to the most powdery pastel shades. And then there are the new season bags. I…

Fashion Focus – Taylor Swift
She is the gorgeous pop/country star who has stolen the heart of the most eligible man(boy?) in music, but it is Taylor Swift’s enviable wardrobe that I am interested in. Honestly, I don’t think I’ve ever seen this girl put a foot wrong when it comes to clothes. Whether she is dressing for the red carpet, channeling trademark 1950s chic in a range of beautiful, full skirted dresses, or just dressing casually off duty, this girl is never anything less than a style icon. I bow to that wardrobe. No wonder Harry Styles seems smitten… Look 1 Get the look Look 2 Get the look Look 3 Get the look…

An Interview with Philip Armstrong and Tony Burke Armstrong
Last Friday night was a huge night for Birmingham fashion. Harvey Nichols, in the fabulous Mailbox, hosted a very special fashion show that showcased the amazing talent of the label Philip Armstrong. I was lucky enough to be able to grab a bit of time after the show with Philip and Tony Burke Armstrong, the creative force behind the label, and to ask them a few questions. They proved to be friendly, approachable and funny – as gorgeous as their designs. Q. You are famous for dressing celebrities, which celebrity have you most enjoyed working with? A. Alesha Dixon, she’s a real style icon. A lot of designers aspire to…

Celebrity Style round up featuring Kate Moss, Ellie Goulding and Millie Mackintosh.
There have been some really great celebrity looks this month, with celebs once again showing that the perfect wardrobe is a good blend of High Street pieces and designer names. On the designer front, there was a double whammy at this year’s Children in Need, with both Tess Daly and Sarah Harding opting for the Project D Itala dress, albeit in different metallic shades. Kate Moss showed her style credentials in animal print from Marc Jacobs in a midi length, a style you can get for less on the High Street at the moment, whilst the lovely Sara MacDonald, Noel Gallagher’s better half, showed that the Gatsby look is definitely…
