Duchess Kate glitters on a night out
I remember it well. The first night out I had after having Joe. The sheer exhilaration of putting something sparkly on, digging out the high heels and waving goodnight to the baby puke and nappies filled with plop, even if it was only for one night. So I can fully understand why the Duchess of Cambridge went for full-on sparkle for her first evening occasion after the birth of Prince George. She looked absolutely amazing in a sensational Jenny Packham gown that shimmered from head to toe, and was teamed with equally glitzy Jimmy Choo heels. Jenny Packham seems to becoming Kate’s Catherine Walker, her designer of choice for evening…

Grab your perfect evening dresses and a Bank Holiday bargain
My parents celebrate a very special milestone at the end of the year, celebrating 40years of marriage. To celebrate this very special occasion, we’ve been looking for something special to do as a family, and one of the most popular ideas has been to do a cruise. Bank Christmas in July event – Simply Stunning
Another hot, indeed scorching, Summer day, and another event where we were looking towards the festive season. This time the event was in the swish surroundings of London’s Westbury hotel, and the brand in question was Bank. And if, like me, you think of Bank as a destination only catering for very young, casual and fast fashion, be prepared to have a serious rethink, because the Bank Christmas in July event was full of glitter and sparkle. There was definitely vintage inspiration on show in the collection, with beading, embellishment and sequins all heavily in evidence. The Great Gatsby elegance shows no signs of disappearing, and 1920s style evening dresses…

We’re starting off with one of my favourite brands, Phase Eight. Phase Eight are the must visit destination for Hollywood style glamour. It is a brand that creates the ultimate in ‘dressy’ dresses, the sort of gowns that are perfect for all manner of special occasions. From weddings to…

BAFTA Style red carpet fashion from House of Fraser
The television Bafta’s are this year teamed with House of Fraser as an official style partner, and in honour of this, I thought that it would be a good idea to show you some of the amazing red carpet styles that the department store currently has on offer. House of Fraser is always a great port of call for occasion dressing, with brands such as Biba, Untold and Ariella all showing that you can create looks suited to Hollywood events with a more modest budget. In addition to the fabulous gowns, which offer colour, beading, a range of silhouettes, and retro and icon influences, House of Fraser are also offering…
