I was recently invited to choose some pieces from the fabulous jewellery collection of Zara Taylor London. For those not familiar with the brand, Zara Taylor jewellery is full of beautiful, vintage inspired pieces that incorporate vintage beads and stones into new designs. Many are made using original tools to help replicate antique pieces from a bygone age. I love the designs, which just scream originality, and I’m in good company. Edie Sedgwick – My Earring Idol.
I spent most of this gloriously sunny weekend reading the fantastic book ‘Edie – Girl on Fire’ about the tragic 60s icon and Factory Girl Edie Sedgwick. I found myself pouring over the great photographs of her, admiring her style, but mainly admiring her wealth of chandelier and long, dangling earrings. Of course, Edie style is well-known, the beatnik black and white looks, the tights worn as trousers with the shortest of mini dresses or jumpers over the top, Edie was a style icon who is still revered today. A glittering event at Swarovski Crystallized.
The Swarovski Crystalized flagship store, on Great Marlborough Street, London, was the scene of a fabulous, sparkly party last week. This event was held as part of the 30 days of Fashion and Beauty event. And Fashion-Mommy was on hand to bring you all the gossip and pictures. The store, for those who have never visited, is a bright and shiny palace in which to worship the beautiful Swarovski jewels. On two levels, the top floor contains a chic bar and seating area, complete with the most gorgeous silver seating I have ever seen. Each specially invited guest was given tickets for drinks, this being sparkling Prosecco complete with raspberries…
