Fashion Focus – A few Outfits from a Busy Autumn

It suddenly struck me tonight that we are now in the final month of Autumn, and I have yet to do a single #wiwt (What I Wore Today) style post.  There have been some reviews of outfits, and also events where I link to what I’ve got on, but a pure outfit post – non, nada, zilch. So, in order to remedy this I have put together a post containing some of my fave outfits from what has been a very busy Autumn.  Where possible, I have linked to the actual item, or something very similar. There are a couple of party outfits, what I wore to Disney on Ice,…

    Wednesday Fashion Focus

Sometimes I write about fashion to focus on particular trends that I am loving. Sometimes I write about fashion  because I want to discuss the latest celebrity looks, and give you some ideas on how to get them. But sometimes I just want to write about pretty things I would love to add to my wardrobe, and this is one of those days. I love the idea of wearing the tan t-shirt dress…

Wallis unveil their latest W Collection

Following on from the success of previous ‘W’ Collections, Wallis have recently unveiled their latest range, and I think it might be the best yet. With an eclectic mix of floral prints and stark black pieces at it’s heart, the collection is a veritable capsule wardrobe that contains pieces that will work well this Spring, and into Summer. A mix and match collection, the hero piece maxi dresses alone could take you from a Summer wedding, a day at the races, or a country picnic with a simple change of accessories. In comparison to the last W Collection, this is a far more feminine range, the last was heavy on…

All this makes her the perfect person to collaborate with Boohoo’s plus size range on their first celebrity/brand fusion. Nadia is well known for the statement pieces she wears in her Instagram #OOTD posts, and this is what she has created with Boohoo. High fashion pieces for  plus size young women who want to follow and embrace fashion are still a hard thing to find on the UK High Street, so…

Fashion Focus – Jumpsuits from Dorothy Perkins

In the same way that the maxi dress was rescued from it’s Laura Ashley style 70s obscurity, and is now a definite wardrobe staple, the jumpsuit now seems here to stay. I can still remember the 1980s versions, boiler suits, parachute suits that seemed to be more suited to a flying lesson or working in a factory than actually being a fashion item. Early 1980s Scottish Songstress Kelly Marie seemed to have one perfectly glued to her body, and that was more than enough reason not to be wearing them. But how times change. The jumpsuit is now a super practical and much loved part of the wardrobe, and is…
