Prabal Gurung – it’s sheer love!
Don’t mind admitting I just love Prabal Gurung. This was the one show during New York fashion show that I was over-excited about, and the shots of SJP wearing one of Prabal’s designs whilst on the promotional trail for ‘I don’t know how she does it’, just further wetted the appetite. I am so glad to say I was not disappointed. This was one very sexy collection. Full of sheer panels, on sleeves, on skirts and on hips, vibrant colours like the purple quality street shades used on one of the most showstopping of dresses, and with flirty, feminine shapes with bell sleeves and nipped in waists, there was just…

Kate Moss – still the Most ‘Super’ model
She’s now 37, and lets face it, at times she can look pretty ropey, but Kate Moss proved again this week that in the fashion world, she is still the ultimate supermodel. In a series of stunning looks, and rocking that sexy new Kate red shade of Rimmel lippy, Kate has proved that when she chooses to, she can light up a camara lens like no-one else. And, in style terms, she is still the one all eyes turn to when she walks into a room. Kate has had a busy week. The launch of her new Kate lipstick range for Rimmel has seen a whole host of parties and…

Jason Wu – S/S 12 – Oh so pretty!
One of my New York Fashion Week favourites, Jason Wu, unveiled his latest collection yesterday, and the collection could be summed up with a single statement ‘Oh So Pretty’. The designer, one of Michelle Obama‘s favourites, produced a collection that was gorgeously feminine, supremely elegant and totally girly – all of which is music to my ears. Full of peachy pinks and coral tones, using the wispiest of chiffons and silks, this was a collection for those who really wished to embrace the pretty side of their style personality. Harking back to the 1950s days of Balenciaga and Jacques Fath, there were pieces in this collection that would have graced…

White Stuff Autumn Collection – 1990s revisited
I’ve just spent some time perusing the new collection of one of my favourite High Street Stores. White Stuff, and there’s definitely some nostalgia for the 1990s in the range. This collection is full of chunky layers, winter florals and muted shades that evoke the early 1990s grunge collection of Marc Jacobs for Perry Ellis. Long maxi skirts teamed with the cosiest chunky knit sweaters, leggings and boots teamed with long-line knits and thick knotted scarves and pretty dark floral dresses are all included in the fabulous range. There are echoes of early 1990s heroes, from Kurt Cobain in his slightly oversized sweaters that draped off the shoulder,to Claire Danes…
