Altuzarra revivies the Grunge Glamour of 90s Mossy.
It seems fitting in that in the year which sees the 20th anniversary of the grunge scene that so revitalised 1990s music, Altuzarra would produce a collection for Autumn/Winter 2011 that celebrates the grungy glamour of throwing a parka over your prettiest party dress. The inspiration for this collection? Kate Moss off course! Now, think back to the early days of Grunge, which juxtaposed the start of the career of the woman destined to be the most infamous supermodel of them all. Grunge music bought grunge fashion – Courtney Love in her torn nighties and Doc Marten boots and Babes in Toyland in 1960s dresses and parkas. Then along came…

Tights! What tribe are you in?
Tights are an integral part of a women’s wardrobe, but that doesn’t usually apply in summer. But this year has seen women everywhere wearing sheers, nylons and opaques with all manner of outfits. Blame it on the hotpants, blame it on the weather, even blame it on the Middleton’s, it seems that 2011 may be the year that tights joined our summer wardrobe. Terry Di Haviland – The Rock & Roll Cobbler celebrates 50 years in shoe business.
The self-styled Rock & Roll Cobbler is celebrating 50 years in the business with a special pop-up exhibition in London’s Selfridges. Terry Di Haviland is a shoe genius, designing those iconic platform wedges worn by the likes of Kate Moss, Sienna Miller and Cheryl Cole, so I popped along to Selfridges yesterday to look at some of those iconic designs. I have been a fan of Terry ever since I saw a glossy and groomed Kate Moss wearing his wedges on one of her famous birthday celebrations. I fell instantly in love with the shoes, but not being able to afford the £300+ pricetag, I searched the High Street for…

Kate Moss’s amazing Rock n Roll wedding!
She finally did it..and she did it her way! Kate Moss, the eternal bachelor girl, finally tied the knot yesterday with her rocker, and she looked absolutely amazing. Kate wore a beautiful vintage style dress by her troubled friend John Galliano for the wedding. This had a real 1920s feel, which tied in with Kate’s obsession with all things ‘beautiful and damned’. It was sleeveless and bias cut, rather like a decadent evening dress, and the hemline shimmered with rhinestones and gold leaves. There was a small train, and the veil and headpiece was reminiscent of that worn by The Queen Mother for her wedding to The Duke of Young…

Why even Kate Moss couldn´t make a Hen Party Stylish!
I have mused before about whether it could be possible to have a truly stylish, non cheesy hen night. One that didn´t involve deeley boppers, feather boas, slogan t-shirts, sashes or any other paraphernalia associated with that most girlie of celebrations. Last weekend, my ultimate style icon took a group of her female friends to the cool confines of the Isle of Wight music festival, to celebrate her upcoming nuptials. Kate Moss, the ultimate fashionista, a legendary fashion icon, friend of Alexander McQueen and the women with the most deeply coveted wardrobe in the world, celebrated with her friends a weekend of pure girlie abandon before her July 2nd wedding to Jamie…
