All these things and more – that’s what Christmas means to me my love.
It’s the most wonderful time of the year, and I can now say I am really, really excited that Christmas Day is so close. 2013 has been a fantastic year for Fashion-Mommy, but I am now getting ready to spend some quality time with those I love the most. So I thought I would wish all the Fashion-Mommy readers and supporters a very Merry Christmas, hope Santa makes all your dreams come true this year. Here are some of my own, personal, favourite images of the build-up to Christmas 2013. Merry Christmas everybody!

Christmas gift ideas from Selfridges Sweater Shop
There is nothing that can make you feel warm and cosy like a much-loved sweater. Worn over jeans or leggings, this can be a great casual look. Add a pencil skirt and heels, and a sweater becomes something completely different. It is an integral part of any respectable capsule wardrobe, and of course, in recent years it has also become an undisputed star of the Christmas season. Selfridges Destination Christmas – The Emporium arrives in Birmingham
Last Thursday was definitely a red-letter day for lovers of all things Selfridges and all things Christmas. For the first time ever, Selfridges Birmingham opened a dedicated Christmas Emporium. Jam packed to the rafters with all things festive, including the most varieties of crackers I have ever seen under one roof, the Selfridges Destination Christmas Emporium is enough to make Ebenezer Scrooge dispense with the ‘humbug’ and reach for the Yule log – it is just so seasonably fabulous. Vaseline Paint the Town launches at Selfridges
Hot on the heels of the ‘pink bubbly’ Champagne version of Vaseline Lip Therapy, Selfridges have launched another gorgeous limited edition. ‘Paint the Town is a fabulous little tin of lip moisturisation, but with the added bonus of also tinting the lips with a gorgeous light red stain. I had the pleasure of being sent a pot from Selfridges, and am quite frankly hooked! Vaseline has long been a favourite for its lip protection and nourishment, and this new version is no different in that respect. I’ve suffered from very dry and cracked lips through the summer holidays, with sun damage being part of the problem Vaseline keeps the lips…

Happy 10th Birthday Selfridges Birmingham
It is hard to believe, But the iconic Selfridges store in Birmingham celebrated its 10th birthday this week. And, of course, being Selfridges, it celebrated with a seriously stylish party, complete with mouth-watering cocktails and canapes, and some seriously quirky entertainment. It is hard to even imagine Birmingham without the stunning Selfridges Building, as much a part of the city skyline as The Rotunda, The BT Tower or St Martin’s in the Bullring. The Moet Bar on the top floor has become a real destination, and so was the perfect setting for the birthday celebrations. General manager Vicki Cain gave a lovely speech to kick off proceedings detailing some exciting…
