Oscars 2017 – Best Dressed.
The 2017 Oscar ceremony will forever be mired in conspiracy and controversy. The best picture Oscar was first of all given to (as expected) La La Land, before it was revealed that ‘Moonlight’ was the actual winner. How had this happened? It seems it may have been a mix up with an envelope, although Emma Stone claims she had her best actress envelope that was being blamed for the issue. Fashion: The Year of Yellow
It may be a type of green that has been named the Pantone colour for 2017 (greenery – which is a shade I have frankly never heard of) but it seems to be yellow, all shades of yellow, that is having a moment. Golden Globes 2017 – Best Dressed
Last night saw the start of Awards Season in Hollywood, with the awarding of the annual Golden Globe Awards which honour the best in film and television from the previous year. As always. the Golden Globes are all about the fashion, as well as being a pointer to who might win big at The Oscars next month. I have to say that from a fashion point of view, the awards were a little disappointing. I was unimpressed with the likes of Nicole Kidman and Zoe Saldana, both reliable fashionista’s who failed to shine on the night. Baftas fabulous fashion – How to get the look.
The bright and beautiful of Hollywood took a trip across the pond for the BAFTAS on Sunday evening, bringing some pretty serious fashion statements with them. Michelle Williams, Jessica Chastain, Meryl Streep and (swoon! swoon!) George Clooney all took a trip down the red carpet, being accosted by a Louis Vuitton clad Miss Piggy on route. There was also a strong showing from the Brit contingent, with Emilia Fox, Tilda Swinton and honorary Brit Gillian Anderson shining on a rather cold winters night.
