Thomas Sabo launch Sweet Diamonds at The Langham
The Langham hotel is one of London’s finest, a sumptuous art deco haven at the centre of everything. This is where I spent a pleasurable Thursday afternoon a few weeks ago enjoying champers, cupcakes and some of the prettiest jewellery you will ever feast your eyes on when Thomas Sabo previewed their sweet diamonds collection. The Sweet diamonds collection is a real departure for Thomas Sabo, known for striking large pieces of silver jewellery, and, of course, its exquisite, highly collectable charms. Sweet Diamonds is a collection of delicate pieces that contain real diamonds framed by silver, and, for the first time, 14 caret gold. The collection is highly romantic,…

Hackney Weekend featuring Lana Del Rey, Florence, Rihanna and Jessie J
Well, the festivals have truly started, and the best dressed ladies in music are making their mark with some very different styles. Lana Del Rey, Rita Ora, Florence Welch, Rihanna and Jessie J have all made appearances over the last weekend at Hackney Weekend, approaching festival dressing in their own inimitable style. My favourite was the gorgeous Lana Del Rey, who seems to get more like Nancy Sinatra with every sighting. She took to the stage at Hackney a week after her appearance at Lovebox, defining her as one of the faces of Summer 2012. Here are what some of the ladies have been wearing, and some ideas for getting…

The return of Paloma Faith
I am so pleased about the return of Paloma Faith, the quirkiest Goddess of music. I’m a huge fan of her music, love her live performances and her mad as a box of frogs persona, and I totally adore her off-the-wall personal style which amazes, amuses and grabs admiration in equal measures. In an era of stylists and perfection, Paloma offers something unique to the world of fashion. In many ways she is the natural heir to Isabella Blow’s throne, at the moment nobody can rock a fascinating (and sometimes bizarre) hat like Paloma can. She also uses the costumes of her previous careers in burlesque and as a magician’s…

An interview with Judy Murray – All about Set4Sport
I was invited to Britmums Live this week to meet the wonderful Judy Murray, and to find out all about the Set4Sport campaign that she is currently launching. Unfortunately I was not able to go due to childcare issues – this is an occupational hazard when you have a little one. But Judy very kindly answered the questions I sent along with Gemma Glover from Spreading Jam PR. Here is the interview in full. Can you tell Fashion-Mommy readers a little bit about Set4sport. JM: Set4Sport is a programme inspired by my years of experience as a tennis coach and parent. The programme, brought to life in a book,…

Take your festival inspiration from Next…and Kate Middleton
Festival season in the UK starts today in typically British style, wet and windy. We can look at all those wonderful Coachella posts where the stars look fabulous in their sundresses, hot pants and flip-flops, but the reality is, we should be looking a little bit closer to home for our festival inspiration. Last weekend Kate Middleton wore what I think is actually the perfect British festival outfit. Taking some time under canvas, she opted for wellies, a Burberry shirt, teamed with Zara Jeans and a v neck sweater. She then wore a leather waistcoat that had a slight bodywarmer style that provided an extra layer of warmth. This looked…
