Duchess of Cambridge Maternity Special
After a few sporadic glimpses of Kate since Christmas, the last two weeks have been a real joy for Kate watches, with the Duchess looking gorgeous and healthy, and, as ever super stylish as she has attended a wedding, a public engagement, had some fun on the ski slopes, and enjoyed a little retail therapy. What I’m really loving about Kate’s maternity style at the moment is that she is showing that you do not have to sacrifice your signature look to accommodate your baby bump. Wrap style dresses and looser fitting coats are perfect to maintaining elegant style, and yet still remaining comfortable. One of the best maternity brands,…

Reviewed – Clarks Ancient Myth in Mint Suede
As a huge fan of Clarks shoes for all the family I am always honoured when I am asked to review their shoes. It is one of the hardest choices to actually choose a pair when there are just so many stunning designs in the current collections, but as a lady who loves bright colour in my wardrobe at all times, on this occasion I found the choice just a little bit easier. In the most glorious green shade, the Ancient Myth shoe has a real retro feel. The kitten heel and slightly pointed toe bring to mind shoes worn in the 1950s, whilst the punchy green shade and the perforated…

Celebrity get the look featuring Anne Hathaway, Naomi Watts and Rita Ora
March has arrived, bringing to a close that most starstudded of months. Because whilst February is the shortest month of the year, it certainly isn’t short on glamour. The Oscars, the Brit Awards, The Grammys. The Baftas all of these star studded occasions took place within the confines of those 28 days, bringing so many looks to savour from a host of your favourite celebs. With that in mind, I decided to feature some great lookalike gowns that could help you create that designer look, as well as featuring the real Alexander McQueen dress as worn by Naomi Watts, which is quite simply a work of fashion art. Along with…

New season dresses – Are you a Grace or a Marilyn?
In my view, the 1950s were the golden era of the dress. In those days, before jeans became a major part of the wardrobe, dresses were worn for every occasion, from neat shirtwaisters in cotton that were the form of most day dresses, to the full on glamour of the evening gowns worn for all post cocktail hour events. No adding a glittering top to a pair of jeans for our grandmother’s generation – these ladies fully understood the art of dressing up. This spring, Phase Eight have produced their usual range of beautiful dresses and I have noticed a definite 1950s Hollywood slant to the designs. In fact, I…
