The summer sales have now well and truly arrived, and although it seems like we have only just started summer, many stores are already thinking of the new season and looking at Autumn/Winter lines. So this is the perfect time to take the opportunity to find that very special outfit at a fraction of the price. Super new Next store opens at The Fort shopping Centre
An invitation to have a sneak preview of one of my favourite stores on the morning it opened was an opportunity that was far too good to miss, so on Thursday 13th June I took a trip to The Fort shopping complex with the lovely Emily Jayne to visit the giant new Next store. The first thing to say is that the new store is truly huge. Covering 25,588sq.ft, it is double the size of the previous Next store on the same complex, and has created a 100 new jobs for the area, which is fantastic news. Aegon Classic ladies Day – Fashion, Fizz and Umbrellas
There was rain of frankly Biblical proportions, which unfortunately did stop play, but it certainly didn’t halt the style of the Aegon Classic ladies Day in Birmingham last week, the day had it in spades. From House of Fraser pop-up stores showcasing Biba and Mary Portas designs, to local heroine Lisa Shepherd on hand offering style advice and hair rescue for those who locks had been lashed by the rain, the stylish ladies of Birmingham were offered pampering that sat nicely alongside the almost compulsory jugs of Pimms. Leading the style parade was the gorgeous Michelle Heaton, the face of the Aegon Classic Ladies Day for 2013. She wore a…

New Ways to have a Girls Night Out and a Girls Night in
The cliche of a girls night out on the town, with lots of wine, heels and clubbing is fun when you’re younger – and even when you’re older, on the odd occasion. But lets face it, it’s gets boring. Night outs on the town always tend to end the same way, either you have to get a taxi back early because the baby sitter needs to be relieved, or you stumble home drunk after some ill advised dancing in a club full of youngsters and suffer through a monumental hangover for the next three days. No one wants to completely shelve the drinking and dancing nights out with the girls…

Duchess Kate drives us dotty with Dalmatian prints
Kate Middleton, the Duchess of Cambridge officially bowed out of the public eye last week, and showed her own inimitable style right up to the end. Looking absolutely beautiful and, yes it is a cliché, but totally glowing, the Duchess again returned to her beloved High Street in a fabulous Dalmatian printed coat from Hobbs, causing the inevitable sell out. The Dalmatian Mac from Hobbs was another smart choice for the Duchess. The shape was again reminiscent of the early 1960s boxy styles favoured by Jackie Kennedy, something that Kate has worn a lot during her third trimester, and again was a simple, but totally elegant look lifted by the…
